Shorthouse is very good, Garrett is a crotchety homer, but always was for the home team if he did Flames or Oilers broadcasts back in the day.
Of all the Flames non roster and non management changes off with the franchise (and there are many) to help get the crappy taste out of the mouth from this crap season, the removal of having to suffer through Kerr/ or listening to a silent game, for another 60 games next year, is the top of my list. Above all his "learning the ropes" adventures, he's now just the voice associated with the hopelessness of the debacle of this season, the worst in the past decade or longer, and hopefully the worst we'll see as Flames fans in the next decade. Turn the page and make a clean start, as many clean starts should begin with this franchise and how it presents itself next season to move away from this horrible season.
The answer may well already work on Flames broadcasts...
Coming in a distant second is getting rid of the abortion of a goal song replaced with anything different.
