Niceee. My only concern was, who in the blue hell was that a**clown sitting next to the blonde on the far right? Some fat D-bag with a big chain and sideways hat on who realistically shouldn't have been sitting anywhere near those girls. If they're with that guy, methinks they're not the classiest ladies around.. (not that its necessarily a bad thing) ...oh, and big win last night. Great to see Kipper again.
EDIT: Love the title too. The second Kerr said that, I knew it was going to be in the OP somehow. CP Kerr'isms have become a surprising bright spot of the season.
Niceee, by far the best part of our PP last night was seeing the Sharks go into the box for that view.

The ladies were behind the bench, not the penalty box.
I'd like to thank Comeau for the free pint. Picked 17 at a "Puck Party" at the pub I was watching it at and my friend picked 10. Couldn't believe we both got a free one haha!
Did the Flames make a trade that i didn't hear about? Who the heck was that last night wearing Flames jersey #17?!?!?!
Seriously though, all of the Flames players seemed to have some pep in their step, it was nice to see them all skating with a purpose and not being pushed off the puck, good game boys.
All teams in the Western Conference have now played 21 games, and here's their progress through those games:
1. Chicago Blackhawks - 39
2. Anaheim Ducks - 33
3. Vancouver Canucks - 26
4. Los Angeles Kings - 26
5. San Jose Sharks - 26
6. St Louis Blues - 24
7. Minnesota Wild - 24
8. Detroit Red Wings - 24
If the Flames win their next game in Regulation or OT, they will be 8th in the western conference after 22 games. Right now they win tiebreakers with every team that would be tied at 24 points in 22 games.
If the Flames win their next 2 games in Regulation or OT, they can be no worse than having the 6th best record in the Western Conference through 23 games. That could go as high as 4th if San Jose loses their extra game in regulation, Calgary's win over LA is in regulation, and LA loses their other game in regulation.
For all of the Flames faults, they are only 4 games having the right result (certainly possible) from having the 4th best record in the conference through 23 games (about half the season).

Was at the game Kipper was outstanding. He had this quality about him that made the crowd feel like we got this one.
Iggy was full force loved the Hudler Cervenka Iginla combination they were deadly together.
Bouwmeester had a strong game, so did Brodie and Smith.
Butler logged allot of time sure fine but he must have iced the puck with little or no pressure on 10 times. He had a 3 real bad giveaway's that Kipper saved him on.
Sven looked out of synch.
Stempniak and Stajan another solid game.
Glencross was hot and cold. Floated for a handful of shifts worked hard on others. Frustrating player to watch for me this season.
He is trying to beat everyone 1 on 1 instead of playing smart.
Grats only had a few shifts but he settled SJ down early that there was going to be no roughing up the Flames tonight.
The coaches should make a DVD of Shaun Donovan, gift wrap it and give it to Comeau.
They seem to be rather similar players, except Donovan was very effective with his limited ability. They have a similar skillset, hard workers, and good attitude.
Donovan could barely carry a puck in a bucket, but had that one breakaway move and skated like the wind. Comeau skates well but handles the puck like a grenade.
Sven just seems to be over thinking things. Ya he could put on some muscle, but I don't think that is the one thing holding him back.
I want Sven to be a good player in Calgary, but maybe it is in his best interest to go to the heat and get his mojo back.
Based on play, to me its automatic. When Backlund returns, Sven goes down, Cammalleri shifts to the wing and Backlund takes his spot on that line.
I think you keep Iginla with the Czechs until it no longer works. They seem to have a good thing going.
I think you keep the Stajan line together. They are playing a really simple but effective game. The less Glencross swoops around, and the straighter his lines get, the more effective a player he is.

.
Yeah he is playing completely different then the last couple of years. Went from high compete, skating hard and cheking everything to floating around like Iggy.
Maybe he thought he couldn't bring that intensity playing 1st line minutes every game, but he did play some 1st line last year. Hopefully moving him to the checking 3rd line will bring back his old self. Or it's the visors fault!

Glencross is always inconsistent like this, its why he only makes $2.5 Million instead of $5 Million.
If he played has his top end for the entire season he would be a 40 goal, two-way player that any team would love to have.
Issue is that is not the case and we have to deal with his bouts of floating.

No, he didn't.
But he did set up the game winner, made other smart plays that led to scoring chances, was 3rd on the team in ice time and was a +3.
If people don't like him....fine. He does have some rough games now and then. But when he plays perhaps his best game of the year I don't see the need to exaggerate to make it seem like he had a terrible night. He played well.

GOOD : Kipper back and played well just like he used to. Iggy getting hot scoring another goal. Playing with Hudler and Cervenka really revived him lately. Comeau.. I hate to say this because i never like the guy but he played well last night especially after replacing Sven on Cammy and Tangs line. Only one complaint I have, I wish he can figure when to shoot and when to pass. There are a couple of instances that he could pass the puck instead of shooting it. I sure hope he starts getting confidence again because I just hate to rag on the guy. Stempniak : I have to say he's probably the most improved Flame this season. He hustled and he's got some speed. Damn you Glennie stealing Stemp's empty net goal. Butler : Here's another guy that I keep ragging on too. Last night he was good joining the rush and his positioning is much better the last few games especially when Hartley move him as Wideman's D partner.
Overall defense not allowing rebound and not a lot of opposing players getting a free ride standing in front of Kipper.
NOT TOO SHABBY:
Giordano giving up a soft pass intercepted by Marleau that ended up a goal by Thronton was one of the negative part of the game. Kipper also lost his shutout bid on that goal. Other than that Gio played well and was on a mission shooting the puck.
Baertschi : He didn't play bad or he didn't play good either. Not sure if it's because of our high expectation on the guy but he seems lost out there. He just can't create any offense. I couldn't blame Hartley for replacing him on that line. I guess giving time, he'll get used to the NHL level and starts producing. He is still a rookie so he just some time to learn.
Anyways, i just hope after beating two good teams in a row they'll go on a winning streak and not change their game plan again next few games. No more good games then stinky next game anymore.
