Reebok vector logo versus the "Reebok" wordmark has nothing to do with quality but how recent the jersey was manufactured. Starting in 2011/12 (I believe), Reebok switched the logos used on game jerseys from the logo to the wordmark. This was eventually switched on the replicas and authentics sold in stores as well, although not until later on. Of course, there was also the existing stock of jerseys with the vector logo.
Not sure who "they" is referring to but it may have been the case that the replicas you were looking at were the vector ones (old stock) while the authentics (more expensive; similar to what the players use) had the wordmark. Nothing to do with the "quality", just when they were produced (as there are newer replicas with the wordmark and older authentics with the vector logo).

Just picked it up tonight and it was just the Reebok logo and not the word on th back, was I mistaken or? Someone want to clarify if they know? Thanks!

Per my post above (and a few others as well), there was nothing on the website that specified whether you were getting "older" stock or the "newer" stock. Same jersey, just a different logo (which matters to jersey nerds like me but probably not the majority of people). If you wanted a newer stock replica jersey you probably had to go in person to the store (when I went they had both available).
P.s. the jersey in the photo does have the vector logo on the sleeve, suggesting it has the vector logo on the back and not the wordmark).
