Why wouldn't they have kept Masterston in? Less than 100 pitches and looked like the Jays had no chance of hitting him.

It's opening day, not sure pitchers can go 100+ pitchers yet.
If you can't be comfortable with your closer and a 3 run lead, when can you be comfortable?

I would hope he would be able to go 100+ pitches especially when it seemed so easy for him.
Perhaps he was tired but with 2 hits and 3 baserunners through 8 I think he should have at least started the 9th and only pulled if in trouble.
But I am not a fan of Chris Perez so perhaps that plays a part in it.
