Do you guys think stores will have this in stock tomorrow morning for anyone or is having it pre-ordered necessary?

I imagine that there will be enough copies to go around. This is a pretty big ticket game and it's been awhile since a mainstream type game has been sold out on release. If it was an obscure JRPG then maybe but not this one.

Does anyone know if you can automatically start a download of the release on PSN if your pre-ordered. Do I have to stay up until 1:00am to start the download

Man I hope the lines aren't too long tomorrow. I have to go pick up my pre-ordered copy during work. I really don't want to have to miss more than 30 mins of work

As a complete dummy with this sort of thing, does that mean install disc one tomorrow, but then don't install disc 2? I just see we have to use disc 2 to actually play it, so how do you play the disc while simultaneously refusing to install it?

Electronics stuff makes my chest tight..

In order to provide the best possible experience for such a massive and detailed world, the game will have installation requirements on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation®3 systems.

For Xbox 360, Grand Theft Auto V will ship on two discs; Disc 1 will be used for a one-time mandatory install and Disc 2 will be used to play the game. After the install, players will be able to enjoy both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online without any need to switch discs.

This initial install will require an Xbox 360 Hard Drive or an external 16GB USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of free space. If using a USB flash drive it must be at least USB 2.0 with a minimum 15mb/s read speed and formatted for Xbox 360 use. A new USB flash drive is recommended to ensure optimum performance.

For PlayStation®3, the game ships on one disc and will install content as soon as you insert the game. The install is roughly 8GB, and players will be able to play as soon as the install is complete.

just install disc 1 (they'll surely have an "Autostart" or something when you put in the disc), then put in disc 2 and play like every other game ... you don't HAVE TO install games to play them, it's always optional. With disc 1, I guess it's similar to Forza Motorsport where you also had to install the car packs from one disc and play with the other. Won't be a big deal, trust me

my copy should arrive tomorrow ... I hope ...

From the sounds of it both discs contain roughly the same data. By requiring an install of the first disc and running from the 2nd it allows the game to stream data from both the HD and optical drive simultaneously, improving texture loading. You can install the 2nd disc and play normally, but from videos posted you'd notice a lot more texture popping

I don't have a big HD for my 360...it's basically an original Xbox. Not too happy that I am going to have to buy a new HD! Oh well, what can you do?

Buy a cheap USB stick and plug it into the front at the bottom (or right depending on how you have it laid down) of the power button.

Ah yes, that's what I'll do. An initial search of FS and Best Buy don't show any HDs. Ok, done.

Just a heads up: If you haven't pre-ordered the game and are looking to buy the Special Edition tonight/tomorrow, don't go to EB GAMES. They are completely sold-out of them city wide.

The customer service department at my local Best Buy said that they should have extra copies of the Special Edition for tonight's/tomorrow's launch, and I would expect Futureshop to have the same.

What's special about the special edition? (seriously)

I'm just going to head into Wal-Mart before heading to work tomorrow. Then try not to pretend I'm sick and actually go into work.

GTA V stock exchange influenced by global activity - inside the BAWSAQ and LCN

One way to make money in Grand Theft Auto V is via the stock exchange.

In GTA V there are two exchanges known as LCN and BAWSAQ. While the fluctuations on the LCN are governed entirely through offline gameplay and specific tasks, the BAWSAQ is influenced by global behaviour via the social club.

There are 40 companies listed on the exchange and the prices can change based on how players behave. For example, if there are a lot of people purchasing weapons from Ammu-nation, the share price of that company will rise.

Similarly, if one particular type of vehicle is being destroyed often -- an example being the Vapid motorcycle -- then shares in that company will drop. It sounds like a great way for groups to get together to help influence share prices!

Stay tuned for our GTA V review.
That seems cool cp jihad for some insider trading

I was thinking about getting this at midnight tonight but I'm exhausted, I threw my neck out a few days ago so I haven't slept well and I woke up early today, then went to hockey practice tonight and I don't know if I can make it.

Yup, can't go wrong with delivery to your door and a $40 price point.
