New Thrice album out. Once again, it is a progression from their older stuff but never mind that, it rules as usual. Kensrue is an amazing lyricist and vocalist and sings with such passion and conviction.
I recently discovered the Esper Retirement Edition of the Blade Runner soundtrack, which lead me to listening to more Vangelis, which brought me to discovering his old (soundtrack) album L'apocalypse des Animaux from 1973, which is very good if if you like this kind of stuff.
My favourite song changes daily, but here in the GTA today, it is cold, rainy and gray. It kind of made me in the mood for this:
It's a few years old now, but it never gets old to me for when I am feeling like "blah". Music fans in Calgary should be proud that these girls came from their city.

Vimeo but worth it. Every time I hear autotune these days it actually hurts my ears if it's loud enough. Thankfully there is gold like this to sooth my soul.

Saw the Swedish industrial project Pain on saturday. My expectations were lowish due to a bad new single and the last album being quite so-so, but they were great.
Nothing fancy nor overly silly, just an evening of solid metal fun.
I only discovered this band a few weeks ago, but I can't get enough. The singer's voice is a little bit like Johnny Cash, and I love their use of a cello.
