That Roma deal for Bojan is a joke as well
Roma paid 12m, Barca can buy back in 2 years for 13m unless Roma are willing to pay them another 27m

I will take him as part of a swap. Affelay is a real talent in the bits I have seen him play. A fast direct winger (or that's how I have seen him utilized at Barca).
35 + Affelay (a pipedream I know) and I drive Cesc to the airport myself.

Would anyone be interested in a Calgary Puck EPL fantasy football league? I played last season and really enjoyed it.
It's basically a salary cap points league with the option for a head to head league, as well. Let me know if there's interest and I'll get it rolling!

Moe: I don't really like the way fantasy soccer is set up. Too many useless stats. I have another suggestion. It'll will be our own league and more personal.
League: head-to-head league and cup competition
Players: Select 1 keeper, 3 defenders, 4 midfielders and 3 forwards from either the Premier League or the Championship. Players must be kept for a month, at the end of the month players can be switched. However one player (ie Rooney) can only be on a quarter of the teams in the league. If more teams want a player there will be either a draw or the lower team in the standings will get him.
Scoring: total goals scored by the 10 outfield players subtracted by goals let in by the keeper.
Example Moe vs GS.
Moe gets 7 goals and lets in 2, GS get 5 goals and lets in 1. Moe wins 5-4.
Goals only which is easy to track. I can make a league table and everything. I'll run it on google spreadsheets.
Thoughts?

Aguero to City should be done tomoro, 40m is the number going around

The scoring would seem to be much easier than the EPL site, the roster limits/changes would take some getting used to.
If that is something you'd be willing to maintain, I'd be all for it.

It would be like little transfer windows.
Yup I can maintain it, shouldn't be much work.

Haha, looks like Liverpool are looking to sell Aquilani to Fiorentina. Who wants to bet its for less than the buyout clause presented to Juve?

Looks like Aguero is a done deal.
Anyone seriously believe he takes less than his current £240k/wk at City?

I was shocked when that even came up, why would City need to cut someones wages....
Their buying still makes no sense
They have now have 5 high priced and paid strikers
No one is going to match their valuation on Tevez and his wages, Balotelli has said repeatedly he wants to go back to Italy and Mancini is handling him horribly, He is treating Adebayor even worse having him train with the youfs
So it's basically Aguero and Dzeko (with Balotelli for this year) going forward, which is very very dangerous for a team that considers itself a title challenger this year to not have a premier league proven striker

'Minutes' required to complete United and Spurs Serie A target deal
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur - Mirko Vucinic deal could still go through
Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini claims a deal to sign Mirko Vucinic would take a potential suitor just three minutes.
The Montenegro striker has signalled his intention to leave the Serie A giants, and Sabatini has vowed to do what he can to find the forward a new club.
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have both been heavily linked with a move for Vucinic, and Sabatini says anyone wants to sign the 27-year-old, a deal could be completed in record time.
“I need just three minutes to reach an agreement," he said. "That’s how long it took me to find a deal with Leonardo over the sale of Jeremy Menez to Paris SG.
"Vucinic has clearly asked us to leave and we will satisfy his request.”
United and Spurs have been heavily linked with a move for Vucinic this summer, as both club continue to become frustrated in their search for their No.1 transfer targets.
While United have become unstuck in their attempts to sign a replacement for Paul Scholes, Spurs are still looking to bolster their attacking options with the future of Robbie Keane and Roman Pavlyuchenko still uncertain.
|
have absolutely no clue why United would be interested with Hernandez, Rooney, Berbatov, Machedo, Owen etc. (and they play 1 up top 90% of the time with Rooney behind the striker), most people think it's just Vucunic's agent trying to raise his price for Spurs

As I understand it, the clubs agreed to a transfer fee but Fiorentina couldnt agree to personal terms.

I will celebrate like we won the league (almost forget how) if this happens. The wages he gets at his level of play is shockingly high, and to pick up a nice 9M fee would be tremendous. Plus I wouldn't have to listen how he is the best striker in the world then watch him miss sitter after sitter.

I think he could do really well there, he has the talent he just needs a place where he can start every game to please his ego
I am holding out hope that him and Zlatan end up on the same team one day

Why?
Anyhow, it looks like Arsenal are the front runners for Mata, which is unfortunate, thats a player I was hoping that Liverpool were targeting, a wide player or if Adam Johnson is available he would be a great addition as well.
I was also kind of hoping that Arsenal did nothing but lose players this off season so that they would actually be fun to watch next season.

Because they both think they are the best footballer in the entire world, and I feel that they would either destroy each other or become absolute best friends
It would be the most entertaining team in the world

If that happened they would HAVE to make a show and I would watch, at the very least, the pilot episode.

way more than the pilot, here are some of Zibra's quotes
On the question what his girlfriend got when they got engaged:
"What she got? She got Zlatan."
"Who is the most beautiful girl in the world?" (2001):
"I haven't met her yet, but when I do, I will date her."
Answer to critizism from John Carew that Zlatan's moves are pointless. (VG, April 2002):
"What Carew does with a football, I can do with an orange." (meaning that Carew doesn't come close to having the same technical skills as Zlatan)
At the press conference after the game against England. (2004)
Reporter: "You´we got some scars in your face, Zlatan. What has happened?"
Zlatan: "Well...I don´t know...you´ll have to ask your wife about that"
and there are stories from youth team players he played with in Sweden that he was a ball hog and whenever they would complain to him about it he would only respond with "F$^$ you I will be the best"

Matt Law, the Arsenel writer for the express, is saying Mata is telling friends he is going to Arsenal
most people have been saying that if Cesc leaves they would go for Mata and move Nasri inside
makes me think this is the year Arsene plans on putting Theo at striker, think Henry and RVP spent about the same amount of time on the wing before being brought inside
