Just calling it like I see it. If you disagree that's your own perogative.

Sorry, I (for one) do disagree. Not necessarily with the underlying theme of your earlier post (Rundblad having defensive deficiencies, not an amazing skater), but with the exaggerated nature of your comments. Rundblad has improved drastically this season, obviously offensively, but also in his positional play, and his skating wont hold him back from being becoming an impact player (although his head might, debatably). I'll just leave it at that, we can agree to disagree. Just don't assume that I'm easily swayed by numbers. I don't post an opinion on a prospect of any team without feeling fairly well informed about that player's overall game/effectiveness.

Irving with his 8 shutouts now, 3 in the last 4 games.

Heat with the blowout 6-0.

Three assists for Bancks..wonder if the Flames plan to sign him.
Dowling has seemed solid also..4 points in his first 6 games.

Barons won, so they have 89 pts; Heat have 86. Chicago Wolves lost so they also have 86.

Barons can get a max of one of four points for the Heat to still have a shot. Fortunately, the tiebreaker goes to the Heat.

Max Reinhart had a goal and an assist and was the best player on the ice tonight in a surprising road victory against the blades in game 1.

Only the 4th blades loss on home ice ALL season.

Kid looks very impressive, good speed and hands and A ton of heart!.

Good two-way player aswell as he was matched up against Brayden Schenn for the majority of the night and kept him in check.

After that glowing review on Bancks from the coach, I can't see how he doesn't get a contract.

That line of Bancks-Stone-Rheault was unbelievable last night. They combined for 10 points I believe.

What do you see the future for Stone being? I know he was injured during camp last season and wasn't able to really try out for the Flames, and because of his waiver eligibility wasn't a good call-up option. He's an RFA this summer, do you think that he has a decent chance at making the Flames roster out of camp next season?

I don't see any room for him at this point..

Stone could take a spot on the 4th line. If he outplays Bouma in camp.

For subscribers of the Flames Official Podcast Channel two episodes today. Interview with McLennan and Ortio. Ortio talks about how its his dream to play in the NHL, how he has looked up to Kipprusoff growing up. and adjusting to life in North America. Its only about two minutes long but still interesting, his English is flawless.

The Heat are losing 3-0 after two.

If they lose the game Ortio should at least get a start down the stretch.

Reinhart with some kind of domination. He was in on all 3 goals for the Ice as they win 3-2 in OT and lead over the Blades 2-0.

He was +3, 1G, 2A.

I agree with jeremywillhelm. Stone won the fan favourite award for a reason. He's a great leader for the kids (which of course wouldn't be utilized in the NHL), but he has a ton of heart. He's got a hell of a work ethic and a scoring touch when he's around the net. Plus, he's not afraid to fight. Great fourth liner for the NHL IMO.

But like jeremywillhelm said, he'll need to beat out Bouma.

That was a hell of a game. Very intense.

The only player outshining Reinhart was Cody Eakin.
