Goodfellas is an indisputable top 3 movie for me, but my favourite Ray Liotta performance is as the dad in Blow. A broken, yet somehow optimistic, man with unconditional love for his son.

Basically he's looked like death since his late 30s. His face just seemed to melt.
This is a huge loss. Liotta was really growing into his older acting roles. He had a great self-aware sense of humour too.
I assumed he got bad plastic surgery in his later life as his face doesn't look right compared to what it used to. His passing is a bummer for sure as he was a really good actor and as everyone has already stated, he was a big part of one of the greatest movies ever made.

Ronnie Hawkins, the big, boisterous Southern rockabilly singer who called Canada home and helped mentor the first band from this country inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, has died.
His wife Wanda confirmed to The Canadian Press that Hawkins died Sunday morning after a long illness at age 87. "He went peacefully and he looked as handsome as ever," she said in a phone interview with The Canadian Press.
The musician known as The Hawk didn't make his reputation in the studio. His highest charting single in the U.S. reached No. 26, and, not a natural songwriter, most of his recorded work consisted of covers. But his stage shows were raucous affairs, characterized by his booming voice, humorous stage patter and acrobatic moves like his "camel walk."
