I don't understand this frequent notion on CP that if you don't get what you want for Coleman this deadline that he'll obviously get this years offers or better next deadline. He's been great, but there's tons of factors including the old "father time is uncontested" and the buyer and seller market is fluid each season.

I read what getoverit wrote a bit differently. Thought it was if the current offers are a 2nd and whatever, that should be a return the Flames could also get next season as well. For this season, the return should be higher. It sounds similar to what you also posted. I agree with both of your statements.
