I could live with that considering he was a free agent we signed and got tons of value out of during his tenure here. I'm not in the "it better be a first or you hang onto him" crowd, but would like to see at least the equivalent of two seconds eg: 2026 2nd + 2027 2nd, or 2026 2nd + young player with 2ndish value.

I could live with it too, but only because there’s some good players in the second-round this year.

Obviously. That basically a 3rd rounder at that point.

I would put Kadri being traded at 95%. LA and Minnesota are the front runners right now with the Habs, Canes, and Red Wings also poking around.
As for Coleman if all things end up equal as far as offers go he ends up a Dallas Star.

So we went from being scared they’d only trade Anderson because they needed to and nobody else to potentially capitalizing on Kadri while he still has decent value and Coleman with 2 playoff runs of value.
Exciting as a fan, nobody can say they aren’t rebuilding even if we get bodies that need to play now in either deal.
Kadri with salary retained is super valuable, and Flames really don’t need that cap right now. They should be aggressive on that front and maximize the return.

Love to hear it!
I'm a expectation manager internally ... feel pretty sure Coleman will be traded, but I've always had the chances for Kadri much lower.
I do think they clear up the blueline too ... hoping Whitecloud if the offers are good and one of Pachal or Hanley.

For sure, you don't do Coleman dirty like that by sending him to Vancouver.

The Flames might actually start winning once they put some 20 year olds with something to prove.

Coleman controls his destiny, if all we get is a 2nd and whatever we can get that next years trade deadline for him, return has to be better

I would prefer Coleman to stay in the Western Conference as an asset to any team that may face the Oilers.

Coleman and Kadri out in this season would boost my rebuild satisfaction to 8-9.
I will believe it when I see it. I have to say I am now more hopeful than ever though.
IF we go wild and also trade a D, I sincerely hope it is Weegar rather than Whitecloud. I have really liked Whitecloud so far.

He doesn't control his own destiny - well, not completely. His agent submitted a list of ten teams that Coleman can be traded to. If the insiders are correct and Dallas is the likely destination, do you really think the Stars are not on his list?

10 team trade list, and I'm sure they can negotiate with teams off the list and discuss with Coleman.

The Flames have a prospect pool full of hustle too. Guys who don't like to lose. Could backfire, but there's value in having young guys learn to win too.

Doesn't that LA team have a little brother of one of our young standout performers for the year in their prospect pool?

A lot of different perspectives on Kadri out there.
Listening to Stienberg earlier this week, he’s less convinced. With Trocheck on the market and O’Rielly as well, his position is term and dollars are going yo push both those player over Kadri around the league.
Guess we’ll find out soon enough.
