Has anyone started watching Outer Range yet? I did a quick search and didn't see it mentioned. The trailer looks interesting and it is getting decent reviews. Josh Brolin is usually pretty good in everything he does.
Started this last night. Has the potential to be messy so we’ll see which way it goes but so far so good
A little late to the party, but just wrapped up Severance last night. Some of the most fun we've had with a show.
A lot of people seem to become annoyed when things don't get wrapped up cleanly... this same thing happened with Yellowjackets. A friend watched the penultimate episode for that one and questioned "how are they going to wrap it all up?" Well... they obviously won't.
What great show had everything wrapped up after season 1? Isn't the journey the entire point? Unless it's designed as a single season experience, I say keep me in the dark as long as possible, because that's where it's usually more interesting.

The season finale of Severance was actually one of my favorite episodes of television in a long time. After the slow-burn of the whole season building up to that, I was completely anxious and invested to a ridiculous extent. Yeah, there wasn't a lot of revelation (I think I had figured out most of the reveals in advance), but the emotional payoff for each of the main characters was great, and I felt totally rewarded for my investment in them. While there are huge mysteries about Lumon Corp, how it resolves the complex character plots are probably more intriguing.

There was a lot of hype around Yellowjackets when it came out, I'm through 8 of 10 episodes so far, and while it's OK I guess, it certainly isn't anything special IMO.
Maybe the last two episodes will blow me out of the water??

No they won’t. It’s a decent show that’s a little overrated IMO.
The second season of Russian Doll took a hard turn. They kind of ignored the first season finale, which was jarring. It felt a bit meandering and disjointed, although the end is alright.
No idea where they go from here, but after watching season 2 I guess they will just make up some crazy #### and see if it sticks.

The Killing Eve finale was kind of disappointing IMO.
I completely forgot about this show. My wife and I just started the final season.
Two episodes in and I think I'm done. It was really strange ... but I just suddenly didn't care at all. Realized I was looking at my phone half the time.

Killing Eve Season 4 was meh. Definite diminishing returns every season after the amazing first. Likely an issue of changing the writers. Didn't feel like there was a coherent vision for the overall story.
Speaking of diminishing returns I loved the first season of The Great but found the 2nd disappointing. Gillian Anderson and that epic Jason Isaacs cameo couldn't save some strange writing choices. This show works better as a dark comedy than when trying to be seriously dramatic.
I also watched Murderville. The improv was hit and miss but I enjoyed the parody of the police procedural and the audience interaction of being able to solve the crimes at home.
Been watching Young Rock as well mostly to see all the filming locations around Brisbane. It's a safe network sitcom that benefits from an original non linear narrative structure.

I enjoyed the first season. I haven't seen season 2 but I'm not sure how far you can take the whole time loop theme before things start to get stale or too disjointed.

The problem with Yellowjackets is they should have wrapped it up much earlier. There wasn't enough good or interesting content for a 10 episode season, nevermind one or two more seasons. It's a good story, in shorter form. A movie would have been good and plenty of time to say everything that needed to be said.

Agreed, in fact as the show went on it got worse and worse. Killing of the two best characters in the show....bad form, IMO.
I would have liked a bit more closure on the twelve. The entire series is centered around the twelve and outside of the three they outed at the end you learn nothing about the other nine who end up as faceless people that meet their demise. I don't think the Pam character worked either.
Slow Horses on Apple is pretty good. It's about a bunch of rejects from MI5 who end up exiled in a department called Slough House. Gary Oldman and Kristen Scott Thomas headline, Jonathan Price had a small role. I think five or six episodes have aired now.
