Surprised with it being just over 2 weeks to the deadline how quiet the rumor mill has been during the olympics, thought they would be flying during the break and GMs might have hammered out a couple deals during that got announced immediately after the roster freeze lifts. Guess everyone is too focused on the olympics

Also, Kuzmenko was flipped as part of the package that brought in Frost and Farabee. I can't find any fault with that whole bit of work.

I would like to trade with Edmonton, if we can screw them.
Well they were playing Edmonton so we bolstered them and won the trade...too bad the Canucks choked like always

The Oilers remind me of a horrible English boarding house described by George Orwell. New guests always got the best room and the best bed on their first night, to suck them in; then they were moved to shared rooms with dilapidated furniture squeezed into the space any old how. (One room was set up with two undersized beds in an L shape, so that one occupant could not stretch out his legs without kicking the other one in the head.)

As soon as a new Oiler gets moved off McDavid's line to make room for the next shiny toy, he discovers how awful it is to be an ordinary player on that team.
Oh, I know, but I think his style fits and he'd rack it up his first season. Then the bloom might wear off.

Unpopular opinion maybe (around these parts at least), but Tanev would have helped Edmonton win a cup. My opinion of course.

No ill-will towards Vancouver, at least right now. That was a golden opportunity to fleece a desperate team trying to make noise after an unsustainable good season in 2024.

I think it will pick up post-Olympics.

Perfect time to showcase top end players that GMs and pro scouts are heavily looking at from teams that are more than likely out of the dance. Vegas was smart acquiring Andersson quickly.

Have to think LA is scrambling for another forward after Fiala's injury.

Yeah it's going to be crazy, just 11 days from roster freeze lifting to deadline day. I guess I just expected more internet chatter and rumor in the meanwhile since you'd expect those 11 days to be action packed. But like I said many of the journalists and social media people who start and spread rumors probably are more focused on the olympics

Flames have 5 games before the TDL.

Sharks Feb.26

Kings Feb.28

Ducks Mar.1

Stars Mar. 3

Sens Mar.5

5 games in 10 days and one B2B in the middle.

If players are gonna be on e the move you better pray they stay healthy in the right schedule.

I for one can't see any deals being finalized until the break is over. A gm would be foolish to agree to a deal early. Same reason we don't hear about 70% of the trades that happen on trade deadline day, lots of hockey to be played, a few gms will get desperate, happens every year even without the break.

I think the Coleman deal is done...other team is just gaining cap space by not having him over the break.

Sorry, just wondering - is this something you heard from your source or speculation? Honestly no disrespect but had to ask. Cool either way and hope its right.
