I must admit. This governments ability to focus on EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of what it should be focusing on is impressive. I don't think I could even of thought of something so stupid and irrelevant to Alberta today than license plates. But here we are.

Calgary police officers, along with members of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), attended the city’s event centre construction site on Wednesday for what police described as a “planned regulatory compliance” operation.
The Calgary Police Service (CPS) said the activity involved immigration checks and status verifications.
The CBSA confirmed officers were at the scene but did not provide additional details.
Construction worker Tamara Watson said crews were told to evacuate before being directed to line up and show identification.

I went for the basic red letters on white. I couldn't be swayed by the cowboys and pumpjack combo. And the Alberta font is just...awful.

The joke is why is Smith spending time and energy on this when we have a Teachers strike that needs to be negotiated. Far more important than a stupid plate change.
