Scott Russell has ruined many a sporting event.
In Beijing when Ron MacLean had to sadly go home, Russell was the commentator for the Closing Ceremony and he said "The People's Republic of China" every single time! We get it, we know the name. Just call it China when used in a sentence!
CBC really should have had Steve Armitage host one of these sessions. He was the voice in 1982 and 1986, really knows his stuff and Mike Richards could make fun of him some more!

Do you bring Carragher back in for Upson now?
Imo, no. Much as I like Carra I don't like his partnership with Terry very much. Upson seems like a better option to me.

Yeah, I took Uruguay 2-0 in one of my prediction pools but I have a feeling that the Koreans may sneak one from a deadball situation. Whatever, the South Americans will win.
