Outside of guys who have played big roles on the Canadians before moving up, I tend to have a hard time of keep track of any of them let alone trying to project future performance.

Jays traded Will Wagner to SD for C Brandon Valenzuela. Wonder what that means for Kirk's health.

Valenzuela is in AA so probably doesn't change anything for Kirk.

Padres 26th ranked prospect so not exactly a needle moving trade, especially given Valenzuela is Rule 5 eligible and was left unprotected by the Padres in the Rule 5 draft last year (and obviously wasn't selected).

So it frees up a 40 man spot for now but he'll need one in the offseason if they think he's part of the plan moving forward.

At this point I'm surprised the Padres have anyone in their farm system. They've been shipping prospects out like crazy the last few years.

If this was the 90's I would be thinking there are trades in the hopper but the fax machine is jammed.

Hopefully the Jays got another reliever.

Down to the final minutes. Something has to be coming for the Jays otherwise the Wagner deal doesn't really make sense.

I hope they didn't do it in a panic to try and make something work only for it to fall through.

This management group would never make a trade to free up international bonus pool money a 40-man roster spot without having the subsequent signing trade firm.

I was hoping the Jays would have taken a bigger swing at some of the other arms out there, the season is found money, good time to make some big moves.

Hope Bieber can actually be healthy at the end of the season, if he is that moves a starter into the pen. Maybe Varsho comes back soon and provides more offense. Not sure the Jays are serious contenders with this lineup, but they've proven me wrong so far so what do I know.
