I thought the offense was supposed to get better this year with O'Brien back in the fold after the Patricia/Judge platoon? Instead it's getting worse and with McZiegler bombing in Vegas it really feels like everything Belichick stinks to high heaven post-Brady.

Really seems like Belichick's career arc would have been similar to Jeff Fisher's (at best) without Brady.

I've watched most of the Pats games. Jones' issues are not from coaching, they're from poor decision making by himself. He's just not that good. Zappe isn't much better.

There's an alternate reality where Mac actually ends up on the 49ers and while he still isn't good, he's so protected by the Shanahan offense that he's at least a viable low tier starter. But I mean think of how bad some of those offenses in New England would have been without Brady all those years, it's not like they were ever loaded with offensive talent outside 2007 and the killer TE duo. Most years it was a mediocre offense carried by Brady.

It wasn't for lack of effort but he's largely bombed when it comes to drafting receivers.
