I’m so sorry. A devastating situation. He touched many lives. I still remember his story on a young Lebron.

LOL - maybe, as nice as it would be to think we are trying to learn about how to emulate success of other federations, we have out own internal messes to deal with first.
Our governing body is still all talk and no action with cutting a deal with it's men's and womens players, who skipped a game over the issue 6 months ago.
It's got funding issues because they've willingly and privately cut a deal with a private for profit entity to handle the business side and money the program generates and the CSA gets an allowance only as determined by that entity.
It's also likely going to be playing hardball with contract negotiations for the coach who (along with Covid) single handedly got this MNT to the WC.
Good for Morroco. World football now has a lot more parity than it used to, this World Cup shows that, that one off games for any nation that have gotten this far, is not impossible or a fluke, to get a result.
Morroco specifically, using a huge rearview mirror, has Canada to give credit here. Not gifting them an opening goal (or Hutchison scoring) could've had that game end as a draw, and they would've been 2nd in group, and who knows how they and Croatia do if they played Japan(and Brazil) and Croatia played Spain and Portugal.
But they are full value for their elimination game wins. France or England may be too much for them, but who knows. Portuguese football probably lags a bit but when the Ronaldo distraction is removed my guess is they may pop back up without the cloud and demands he was making on this team over the past years.

They should have started him if only to take advantage of the global conspiracy to create a Ronaldo vs Messi final .

Back in Singapore after watching the last two Morocco matches live in Qatar. Watching the match here at the main outdoor viewing spot closest to Kampong Glam, Singapore's Muslim hub, loads of Moroccans (and Moroccan-French) and the vibe was just as lively as back in Doha, singing and drumming. Moroccan rap blasting. Really fun to be backing Morocco at this WC, knowing how much this means for Arabs and Africans.

Don't worry.
On the other side you have Dembele running at Shaw with Harry to cover.
Huge emphasis on the two FBs here.

I used to like England but the arrogance of certain fans are irritating (very much like Italians, and Portuguese). Very much hoping for France to take it.

England for me!
Aside from Canada, England is my team.
Lots of family in London and my parents lived there before moving to Canada, England is our home away from home.
Come on England!

I have mixed feelings about who to cheer for.
On one hand, hilarious to keep the medal drought for England going. They are literally the Leafs at this point.
On the other hand, Mbappe murders teams so if my team makes the final…yeesh.

I find English fans, like Leafs fans, to be insufferable so I'd prefer a French win so the English fans will finally be quiet for a few years again, furthermore I think a France vs. Morocco match would be awesome.

Crazy stat. This is the first ever meeting England-France in a knockout match, World Cup or Euros.

I hate France for 98 and 18. But it's also England. So... Ya.

Did Qatar have a blowout sale on Hair Bleach or something? Is it 1998 again?
