Yeah I agree. One of my favourite Flames for many years

It was disappointing seeing him look like he's just mailing it in this year, but other than that, I'll always root for the guy

Seemed -- past tense -- being the key word. He was clearly unhappy here after Johnny and Chucky left. I understand disappointment but he had no apparent interest in getting over it.

The team's much improved play after he left provides some fuel to the rumors that he was a negative presence in the dressing room.

Finally, I think we can all forgive Flames fans for being easily triggered by players not wanting to be here. We've had way more than our fair share of it. In fact, is there any other team in the league where it has been so common and so public?

I loved Elias, but his last 1.5 seasons here tarnished his legacy as a Flame IMO.

He was a good Flame and part of one of the all time best flames lines but I don't know if I would feel overly bad for him in the same way I don't feel sorry for Gaudreau for rotting away in Columbus. The Flames gave him an offer likely far richer and longer term than he's going to receive in free agency and he turned that down. This is one of those things like Gaudreau where maybe he should have stayed with a team where he's had his best years and actually wanted him to be a long term Flame.

I don't hate Lindholm. I'm mega bummed he's pretty much railroaded his own career.

Dude hasn't been right in between the ears since Gaudreau and Chuckles left.

I have no doubt that Lindholm will have a positive impact long term on which ever team he signs with.

I think they felt jilted by him giving up on the team and basically saying "we'll see" at last year's press conference and then the struggles or reluctance to renew his contract even with a high $ amount thrown at him by Conroy soured him to fans.

Kiril Marchenko is a healthy scratch. Coaches choice. Jackets would rather go with 11f and 7 D.

I personally think Boston is the absolute best fit.

Kypreos just said he's hearing Tampa and Hanifin have possibly agreed to an extension, it's just now how Calgary and Tampa do the trade....

The city and team seems like it would be a good fit as they play a style he may be able to thrive in.

Ya sounds like the guest and kyper have basically said it's done to Tampa. I just don't like how little they have to offer. 2026 1st better not be protected

Just saw that. Hope kypreos is wrong . If it’s true he will probably tell all other teams including Florida he will not re-sign.

Come on last minute FLA offer! You don't want to play against Hanifin for 8 years!

Boston consistently gets the best out of every player they get. Honestly, it’s very rare for them to acquire a player and it not work out well for them… at the very least in regular season play.

Then just blame it on what the Panthers didn't offer.
