Sound is such a slacker. I just saw the fireworks go off at McMahon, and it took about 5 seconds for sound to arrive here in Bankview.
I swear to god, if I was stuck behind sound on a freeway with a limit of light speed, I'd lose it.

So my chili is juuuuussssst about done, but it'll take about another 30, then 15 to eat, then 15 to clean up. So let's say midnight - which is when my buddy Al's Police cover band (invisible sun) is supposed to start it's first set at the Richmond Pub. So it's either chili, or greasy pub food, 'cause I am STARVING now after restraining myself through the 2 football games tonight.
Anyone ever been there? Will I die of scurvy or rickets if I go pubbing at such a dubious-sounding place? Or should I stay home, eat chili, and amuse you all with more random posts?

So you're saying it's a good idea? I was just going to go watch one set, I haven't seen him play in ages and I thought I'd surprise him by showing my slacker ass at a gig. I guess I could eat the almost-done chili real quick, as on further reflection I don't think I can make midnight. If you want to come, that's cool by me - I haven't drunk anything since about 8:30 and I'm good to drive.
