The event organizer is requiring that all attendees of this event receive a privately-paid negative COVID-19 diagnostic test within 72 hours prior to entry to the event or must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Does anyone know if this is to include kids? Is every kid at the game supposed to have a negative Covid test?

I got 4 tickets Sec O2 ROW 84. Will need an Oxygen mask and a telescope to see the field but it will be Awesome.

Only the top corners of the 2nd deck are currently available, except a few singles sprinkled into the lower bowl. I have to assume the other side of the 2nd deck hasn't been opened because there isn't a single ticket available.

Also, with a stadium that big there will be lots for sale right around the event...especially if its cold as F

It looks to me like they haven't put the west side of the upper bowl on sale at all yet, or else there'd be some scattered tickets in the corners at the very least. I think you'll have a good chance to get some decent tickets still.

Not sure why they didn’t just open 100% of the stadium and just see what happens.

There could also be security and concession staffing needs. No point in opening both sides if they only sell a few thousand in the 2nd deck.

Looks like the whole stadium will be a sellout. That should be a pretty impressive atmosphere assuming they have playable conditions.

By early evening Friday, essentially the entire lower bowl of Commonwealth Stadium between the goal lines had been sold out of mostly $60 tickets for both games.

Early Saturday morning, the Ticketmaster manifest for both games showed only a few hundred available tickets for each end of the East side upper deck. They were almost all gone by the end of the day.

Tickets for the entire west side upper deck and the lower bowl end zone seats had not been released.

“The reason for that is we’ve just been inundated with group sales requests and there simply hasn’t been time to process them all,” said Montopoli.

“The demand has been beyond belief for group sales,” he said of the discounted tickets for minor soccer teams.

“We’ll open up those east side upper decks and the end zone as soon as those group sales requests have been processed for both games. But it’s safe to say that when we do, it won’t be long later that we’ll be announcing sellouts for both games,” said Montopoli

If you check ticketmaster right now, it says there is only a handful of tickets (like, low double digits) for CRC and literally zero for MEX.

I wonder if the upper deck has been opened yet or not, after reading that article.

The west upper deck and the end zone seating still hasn't been opened. Everything else is gone.

Yup, there's a movement to go to the Forge / Edmonton game between the two Canada games. If you're a Forge fan, I get it. If you aren't, I don't really see why you would.

Yeah I saw the chat on the voyageurs forum about going to the cpl game in between, and I'm glad they're doing that. Outnumbered by away fans from the other side of the country? Hilarious but sad that this club cant build any kind of support when there is clearly a lot of interest in the sport in their city.

I’ve said on here a thousand times, Edmonton cannot last much longer as a team. No business person in their right mind is going to take over the team either. It should be relocated to BC, Quebec City or wherever else there is expansion.
