You can speak directly to me? I’m not an Oiler fan I won’t fight you.
You can call me every name you like, but never ever call me an Oiler supporter.

And it's not that the Oilers are suddenly good, because they're not.

Exactly. You can't account for no-showing.
Dallas does have the better all around team on paper and when they showed up they handled arguably two better teams than the oilers.
So it was completely reasonable to predict stars in 5 or 6 with the assumption that they would show up.

Would definitely give the goaltending to Dallas though.

Sorry but this is comically cocky.
Maybe close out the series before you speak like this about the superior depth of your toilet cloggers and Dallas being a joke.
Clown.

I have to think that Dallas will get the #### together, or hopefully Florida can do the job in the finals. The thought of that horrible organization filled with criminals and pricks getting their greasy #### stained fingers on such a lovely trophy is really upsetting not to mention all the garbage players like Kane and Perry.

Can’t wait to see the cup being paraded in a prison yard by Kane and Perry. Probably in a rented car driven by murderer Craig McTavish.

Cocky how? I never said series is over. Far from it. I called Oilers in 7 before they started a game. Ottinger can easily steal 2 games. I just said I never thought Dallas had better depth or an “on paper” team. Then I gave my reasons why I thought that. You just then didn’t come up with any sort of intelligent rebuttal (and really based on your past posts I didn’t expect any) and went straight to name calling.
And “maybe close out the series”??? You do realize I don’t play for the Oilers right? I know you’re a huge Oil fan but sorry there is literally nothing I can do to help you with that.

I remember reading in previous years that teams would play a couple hard rounds and then have a break, fatigue would set in and they could never really get their legs going. I wonder if that's not what has happened to the Stars.
Grease fans can say what they want about their super duper defensive system, but reality is the Stars haven't looked like themselves all series. Granted, the Oilers are running a lot of interference that is going uncalled.
A lot of my friends (I live in Ontario, so nobody hates the Oilers like me) are starting to feel like the NHL is scripted with the amount of calls that have gone the Oilers and Panthers way.

I mean this series is likely over. Dallas has shown me nothing to indicate they have it in them to clutch up for 2 elimination games.
Historically, they always choke in the playoffs and it seems History is repeating itself. They were supposed to be contenders the last several years and they always find a way to lose.
Hopefully Tkachuk can save us from this nightmare.

I know it’s just a game, just a sport, but I think I’m done with watching hockey if Oilers win the cup.
I’ll continue cheering against them for now but they seem like a team of destiny, everything that can go right is, with a little help from the refs and from the opponents lol.

Not gonna lie the hilarious meltdowns here would be worth the Oilers winning

It's pretty fun to read. "The Oilers are getting run by Dallas in 4 or 5!" "Okay, they'll probably win but who cares nobody even watches the NHL even more, take that Oilers fans!!!".

Edmonton D is so weak, they are healthy scratching their defensemen. Regularly playing Nurse and Ceci? Kulak? Desharnais? Oh wait, he's a healthy scratch now. They put in Broberg who hasn't been with the team since November.
Dallas can ice 3 full lines of 50 point players (with Stankoven prorated over a full season).
Edmonton can ice 1 full line and 2/3 of a 2nd line with 50 point players.
Edmonton is leading the series but it's not over. 1 win tomorrow from Dallas and all the pressure back on Edmonton to not choke a 3-2 lead on Dallas home ice. Trying to act like Edmonton has any superiority over Dallas besides the draft lottery twins is a joke.

I find it comical that he is calling Dallas's D comically thin. I don't know what he'd call Edmonton's D then?
Another comedy is that he'd take Oilers forwards over the stars all day. What he should've said is he'd take Oilers' diving twins all day. Imagine if one of the diving twins injured and out, what are they gonna do?

Edmonton's depth has outplayed Dallas's depth. I know we hate the Oilers, but Dallas is not some amazing team. And the Oilers depth is apparently better than we thought (barf).

The statement was "I never really saw the “Dallas’s better on paper and has better depth part” which is what I addressed. It's very easy to see why Dallas' better depth is a factual statement supported by forward production. Columbus swept Tampa in 2019. Bad teams beat better teams in the playoffs all the time. They were better in that series but nobody would ever say that Columbus team was better than that Tampa team.

The overall depth of both teams is pretty similar other than goaltending. The main difference is the Oilers high end players are far better than Dallas'. McDavid, Draisaitl, Bouchard, have been unreal. Robertson, Hintz, Heiskanen while all really good players are not on that level.

I admire your optimism, but I think this series ends tomorrow. Dallas hasn’t been themselves at all over the last two games, and they look like they’ve already given up. It’ll be up to Chucky and Bennett to end this nightmare of a timeline.
That being said, I’m all for being proven wrong. If Dallas can muster up enough pride and actually show up for game 6, things could turn around.
