The Giants could be picking top five or #19 depending on what happens next week. They won a draft pick game last year and it cost them Chase Young. Wonder if they'll embrace the tank this time.

Hopefully Adams wearing the crown is bad juju, they should also save Jones for the playoffs. C’mon Titans!!!

Man, that Henry play-action fake made Tannehill have a highway to the endzone.

Let's revisit this statement given what's happened since last week.

The Titans are only good against the teams they're good against. They are, in particular, completely unequipped to deal with the Chiefs, so they have basically no chance of getting out of the AFC. They're irrelevant. As you can see tonight, any of the top NFC teams beat them, because all of the top NFC offenses are pass-heavy with the possible exception of Tampa Bay, and they're capable of it as well.

The Ravens are sort of similar. If they're behind, they'll probably stay there, and you never know whether you're getting good Jackson or bad Jackson. They could beat anyone in the NFC, I guess, but I wouldn't pick them to do so. Anyway, as noted, they cannot beat the Chiefs.

The Bills might be a thing. They're actually legitimate. But until they do something in the playoffs, I'm not going to be sold. So we'll put a pin in that one.

So yeah, I have to stand by my original statement. The Chiefs are pretty much the whole league, subject to the Bills proving themselves. They outclass the rest of the good teams in the AFC to roughly the same degree they outclass the good teams in the NFC.

I think whoever of the Chiefs or Bills comes out of the AFC will easily win the Super Bowl. If they stumble and someone else comes up whoever comes out of the NFC may have a chance.

Not good if you are a Ram fan

Quote:
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff expressed uncertainty over whether he will be able to play in the team's regular-season finale after he suffered a thumb injury on Sunday in a 20-9 loss at the Seattle Seahawks.

Sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter that the Rams fear Goff's thumb is broken and that he will undergo further testing in L.A. on Monday.

That would make for an interesting NFC playoff picture, because as of now, it appears very likely that the Packers will get a bye, the Saints will finish 2nd, the Seahawks 3rd, and the Bucs will play the NFC east champions. That assumes that the Saints and Packers both win next week.

If so, the Saints and Seahawks will each play one of the Rams, Cardinals or Bears. If the Bears lose to the Packers and the Rams win vs. Arizona, it's Saints vs. Bears and Seahawks vs. Rams. But if Goff's out, then you'd probably think the Cardinals win over LAR.

A Cards win and a Bears loss means both the Rams and Cardinals make the playoffs, but I am not clear on who wins the tiebreaker between them, and who would be playing who. I'd much rather play a Goff-less Rams team than the Kyler Murray show. Apparently the Rams backup is John Wolford, who I have never heard of.

Just ran through the playoff machine at ESPN.

Cards win the tie breaker. Seattle gets the 2 seed with a win and saints lose. They both lose and saints get 2nd.

By the way: the espn playoff machine is amazing.

Well a fair bit of maneuvering still to be done.

The Packers win or tie next week they finish first and get the bye in the NFC. If they lose they could drop to the 3 seed. New Orleans would win a three way tie with Green Bay and Seattle.

The Rams, Cardinals, and Bears could all miss if they lose. The Rams and Bears could lose and still get in. Than there is the mess that is the NFC East where any of the Cowboys Giants, or Football Team can win it. The Washington and Philly game is already flexed to Sunday night.

The AFC too is still up in the air from seeds 2 to 8. All those teams have something to play for next week. Only the three Division winners have their spot locked up. The South is still up for grabs and any of Baltimore, Cleveland, Miami or the South runner up could miss out. So every AFC Team has two more tough games to get thru that the Chiefs don't.

Should make for one of the most interesting week 17's in recent memory.

Yeah I have been playing with it for an hour trying anything and everything.

Rams backup is John Woolford...possibly the worst backup in the league.

So we really are going to be stuck with one of the worst Sunday Nighters ever, period, let alone the week 17 Sunday Nighter, it'll be the Eagles and the Don't Even Have a CFL-level QB Football Team. Worst part is you gotta figure the Eagles are going to do the right thing and lay down leaving little "drama" to two ####ty teams playing. It'll be the least watchable game of the season to close out the year, a fitting end to the COVID season I guess.

Why would the Eagles lay down? Hurts still trying to establish himself and win the job for next year.

Giants still have a chance

Lay down will cost the Cowboys (Giants are losing to them by 4 TDs at least) and help the Eagles draft pick, while hurting the Redskins who obviously need a QB and would benefit more from the higher draft pick. Eagles are highly motivated to lose, wouldn't surprise me to see them trot out Josh McCown or some #### to not even leave any doubt.
