Unfortunately if it means seeing it in a theatre there’s zero chance I see it.
Not unless I get a fully sanitized theatre to myself. But now you have me curious, how many CPers will return to the theatre and when?
For me it’s largely location based, no mandatory masks here. No chance I lock myself in a Covid box for 2.5 hrs.
The Landmark showed an infomercial right after the previews on how they sanitize the seats. They spray down all the seats with this proton pack out of Ghostbusters. Supposed to kill 99.9%....

I wouldn't judge anyone based on their performances in Twilight. Everyone knew those movies would be hits without trying, so nobody tried. Many of the people working on it developed nothing but contempt for its fanbase.
Well I watched my first Pattison movie in Tenet today. Didn't even know it was him until the end of the movie. I think Batman will be just fine....

Theaters have been about 15-20% full when I've gone, its been an amazing experience.
But I am a frontline worker, probably more likely to infect than be infected anywhere I go, which I am conscious about and take proper precautions.
If you've been living in a bubble then ya I can see how it would be a bit intimidating.
But as someone who is on the street pretty much every day, life has been basically 99% normal just people wearing masks and plexiglass everywhere.

Wow just got back from Tenet! Back to the Future 2 on steroids! How the flying eff did Nolan make such a crapstacular movie like Dunkirk??
You need to watch this in a dolby atmos theater. It's so loud, it's like watching a concert.
I think he clearly wrote this movie in two directions. It is so intricately layered—there was a big risk taken that the movie would lose the audience almost immediately, but tbe way he pulls it all together is a stroke of genius.

I haven’t seen it so not commenting on this movie but that’s a similar reaction to Memento. Planned to watch that movie with a friend a while back and I’d forgotten how the beginning is a very slow burn. They didn’t want to stick with it.
My nephews 4 and 8 are watching TFA for the first time. They both like Star Wars but only from books, comics, toys. Not TV or movies.
This is the greatest movie ever watching it with them. They know all the characters and the lore. It’s fascinating.
And best of all, since they seem to be digging it, I’m hoping to show them the despecialized versions for eps 4-6.
I can’t guarantee they’ll both be drug free college grads, that’s my sister’s problem, but at least I’ll know their first Star Wars OG trilogy experience isn’t ruined by Lucas’ tinkering.
Edit: oh man they just found out Ren is Solo’s son. worlds have been rocked.

Somewhere along the way my son learned the quote "Luke I'm you Father" (not the proper line I know but that is how he learned it where ever he learned it) and associated it with Vader. So when he puts on his Vader mask he will cover his mouth with his hand make a few breathing sounds then say the quote.
The other day we were flipping through Disney+ and he saw ESB and wanted to watch it, keep in mind he is only 3 years old. So I put it on, it was the first Star Wars movie I've attempted to watch with him. He's watched Clone Wars episodes, loves animated Pixar movies, has watched the action scenes from lots of the marvel movies, but besides TMNT he has never sat through a whole live action movie.
We watched it start to finish, with a few interruptions for snacks, pottie etc.. but for the most part he was mesmerized, seeing all his favourite characters in the actual movie. Then when the part came where Vader said the line to Luke, he turned to me eyes as wide as they could get and goes "HE IS HIS FATHER!!!".
I was always worried this part would be ruined for him, remembering myself how epic it was for me as a kid watching it with my cousins, but it was like having the knowledge ahead of time and seeing it vindicated in the movie was a triumph for him and gave him a sense of pride. Little kids love being right, and this was like the ultimate right for him.
It was a pretty damn cool moment.

I actually enjoyed New Mutants. Wasn't amazing or anything but I thought it was really solid. Still had horror elements in the film and kept me guessing what was going on. Definitely not the worst X-Men movie.

Somewhat similar to Memento, yes, in terms of the layering. But TENET is without the plodding buildup. The intensity starts literally seconds in, and never lets up.

This is the same thing that they are using in schools. It's not effective. I read a report by a crew that cleans up crime scenes, and they basically said that any kind of fogging or spray is only to reach crevasses unreachable by physical means, and still the area needs to be disturbed and wiped physically as much as possible before the fog is applied. It takes the 99% clean that you've already done, and adds the .9%.
Schools are using this incorrectly already, and are also doing it during the day, which causes a respiratory and eye irritation for teachers and students.
So, if you go into a theatre, and enough time hasn't elapsed since the fogging that full ventilation hasn't occurred, you may hear people coughing or your eyes watering, as a result of the fogging.
Fogging is stupid in the time of covid, IMO. It adds very little to the cleaning process and causes what can be misconstrued as covid symptoms. On a positive note, if the theatre is wiping down the armrests, and back of seats, you are good to go anyway. That is all that is really needed. The rest is sanitation theatre, like a show before the show.
I would probably sanitize the armrests myself anyway, when I sat down. It's all pretty safe, as long as no one is coughing. Or talking moistly.

So, they cast Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror in Ant Man 3. That's a pretty strong Fantastic Four connection, and Kang got his original technology from Dr. Doom....
I'm guessing that they lead with Kang, and Doom becomes the Big Bad for the next couple of Avengers movies.
