Just tried rerolling on that weapon, first try, but it's not elemental damage. Since as you say the attack sets the damage type does it even matter what the stat for the weapon is?

My suggestions, though not a wizard, would be getting a better weapon. If you can change that Born's Wrath that might be the way to go as it gives you some options down the road with the set. If you go with Born's you might want to grab the shoulders as well.

Put sockets on those pants in place of resistance. 500+ int is worth 50+ res anyways plus you get the huge damage boost.

And grab a better property than life reg on the gloves. Could make some decent trifecta or cool down gloves.

Forgotten Souls will probably be your limiting factor so doing rifts wouldn't hurt.

Edit: Oh nice on the Born's. From my understanding the only major difference between elemental damage at this point is that %damage only applies to normal 'black' damage. Like the 6% you have on the barber the lightning damage didn't get the boost. So in that sense normal physical damage is the best.

Thanks for the suggestions, makes sense. I have a different set of gloves I could try with too, better Int roll but 10% CC might be hard to roll

Those shrine gloves are awesome. Definitely worth trying to grab the 10% critical hit chance. But even if you get 8% or so the gloves bonus is great.

So what's decent for a wizard going into T2?

My dps with spec buffs is 1.03M and my toughness is 6.8M. What should I be aiming for?

...and I want a pair of those gloves! My dps with attack speed shrine is 1.2M!

Jezzzus. Those gloves can be lethal Photon. 10 minutes of a Conduit shrine (zapping enemies around you in rifts) is off the charts....

Edit... just read that the gloves don't work on rift shrines. Too bad. Still, very good bonus to have!

Yeah unfortunately they are clear that "conduit shrines" are not the same, as they call them Pylons.

So I FINALLY find a level 70 Tal's armour, which I have been hunting for a loooong time. Using one allows me to replace the Tals orb with a Triumverate, and give me a boost in damage, etc.

Sooooo.... It has an "Explosive Blast +14%" aspect that I want to reroll as I don't use that skill. But what do I do?

Rerolled the "Increased attack speed" accidentally.

Had some decent drop luck this weekend. Was farming Act2 caches on normal to get the Gloves of Worship and the Talisman of Aranoch dropped. Cold damage heals, apparently one of the more rare ammys (the ammys that grant immunity to damage have the lowest drop chance in the game).

Also got another piece of the barb earthquakes set. Just need 1 more and Lutz socks before i can start jumping around like a crazy person.

I tried at your stats and things get a little too hairy. Right now I'm 1.1 mil damage and 8.2 toughness and still prefer T1. Things are pretty easy at T1 though... I may be strong enough to move up.

I had a set chest piece drop today. My doorbell rings so I go AFK ... By the time I get back, I've been disconnected from the server. Never got a chance to pick it up.

I got a Cindercoat today! Not sure what to do with it though, I guess I could use it on my Wizard and just use the fire arcane orb (since I have a lot of +% arcane orb damage). Or maybe base a build for Demon Hunter around it?

Had lots of legendaries drop tonight, no obvious upgrades but some things that might be interesting, man Forgotten Souls really are constraining. I don't see why they can't just make them 100% drop on a rift

Which basically binds it to my Wizard... Plus I lose my Vyr's +500 Int (and Archon runes if I ever find the ring). I don't know if that'll be worth the resource cost reduction, but it doesn't feel like it.

Cindercoat is only good for a fire build. It's the chest you use for an explosive blast wizard. It may also be worth using now that archon will have a fire rune after tomorrow's patch.
