Ok so I note two things.

a) Felix gave Nadal more trouble than Djokovic did. By the transitive property, Felix should now immediately become world #1.
b) Rafa has now played 8.5 hours in two straight matches. He had damn well better have enough left to dispatch Zverev.

When Djokovic saved 3 match points I got very nervous. The good thing is that the semi isn't until Friday so he can hopefully recover

Not sure it belongs here or in random thoughts but wanted to share. My daughter started her first year of school in Australia and they have school houses like Harry Potter but named after athletes instead of wizards. Her house is named after… Pat Rafter!

Does Todd Woodbridge have a house?

They had better put a boxing ring in the backyard for Nick and Bernie to settle things once and for all. In case you missed it...

I really can't see anybody stopping her at the moment. About the only person who comes to mind retired earlier this year.

I have a terrible feeling this is Nadals last dance. He is playing through tremendous pain at some point he will have to think about quality of life after tennis and if he gets to 22 slams he will always be the GOAT (he already is but this would just cement it forever)

Also when asked on court if he will be back next year he said all I can say is see you in 2 days ....

I'm not sure how much I would read into that NF, the greatest players always stay in the present and only concentrate on their very next match. The time to think about next year is following the conclusion of this tournament.

Cilic and Rublev are in a 5th set as I type.

Cilic is going to be the impetus for the tour to bring in a serve clock between 1st and 2nd serve. He is laboring big time in this fifth set.

10 point super tie-break needed to determine the victor.

Edit: Cilic takes it 10-2 in the super tie-break. That's a bad loss for Rublev, Cilic was dying out there, but somehow found a way to win.
