Its funny because they were pretty eager to ban Ilyrians because of genetic engineering to save lives.
Yet they allow Deltan's that are super horny pheromone spewing bald sex machines on a star ship, and all they have to do is sign a piece of paper swearing off sex.
We all saw what sitting beside her did to poor Chekov.
Just as Gene intended.

What really sucks is that the second season was already green-lit so they really pulled the rug out from under a huge number of people.
On top of which I loathe the concept of expunging content. I'll never forgive them for doing that to Final Space.
A lot of people worked really hard on that, but if you eliminate it you have to keep paying residuals whereas if you make it just 'disappear' then it looks better on your books.

Yeah, expunging content sucks. The big selling point of every studio launching their own streaming service was supposed to be "everything will be there forever because they own it".

A full-on courtroom drama episode that sticks to the core Star Trek values created by Roddenberry and mirrors current events. It's like SNW completely ignored the last 20 years of mediocre trek and picked up right after DS9. I said it last week and I'll reiterate now, give these showrunners the keys to the entire trek universe and let them do whatever they want with it

I just hate courtroom episodes, even if they are done well. Show me this story happening in space. Tell it another way. I know, I know, ST does the, but I don't like 'em.
At one point my wife asked "wait, why is she also modified?" referring to La'an Noonien-Singh. So then I paused, and explained the entire story of Kahn, ST2, and all the other references. When I was done I think she was thinking "sorry I asked!" No, no, she was definitely thinking that. She said it.

I know actual lawyers who have been asking for a Star Trek: JAG series for years

Same, both not a fan of courtroom dramas and I also had to pause and explain the Kahn stuff to my wife.

That doesn’t look great. Not that I care too much about old series anymore, but I am guessing they’re just not pulling SNW mid-season cause that would be a total dick move. Is Paramount+ worth subscribing to besides for ST content?

Damn. I was just starting to get psyched up for the next season of Lower Decks.
It will likely still be on Crave/CTV Sci-Fi. Even if Paramount is bringing everything back in-house, the old distribution contracts for the new series will likely still continue as they were originally.
It's like how Archer airs on Adult Swim in Canada despite being an FX show because it started airing before FX Canada existed, so they signed a distribution deal with TeleToon (at the time) in Canada which is still in force.
