It would only be better if they left Maloney on the side of the road too

Oh they're gonna be bad in two years, unquestionably. If things go well, there will be some promise and hope on the horizon. If things don't go well, the abyss looms.

Whatever the Flames do I hope they're done adding D men with their trades.

I'd like to see some changes in the FW grouping.

I think they must get rid of Kadri

Next year if he doesn’t bounce back he would have no value and almost impossible to trade like Huberdeau

Huh so you don’t want change

That's what a rebuild does.

I still think trading Weegar is a mistake. He clearly loves it here, is a good veteran presence, and can keep the d core somewhat stable while we continue to grow our young defencemen. If you trade Weegar, Whitecloud has to stay.

As for Kadri, similarly to weegar, but if you do trade him, i do not want Coleman traded.

Can't we send Maloney back to Arizona? I doubt he even notices the team is gone.

I dont think you force him out the door but him and hanley are the two guys they should move if they can get value.

His trade value is only going to go down. The flames are not scoring more goals next year, his point production and defensive metrics will probably only get worse. whitecloud being a stay at homer his trade value will be less impacted by the flames goal scoring drop off and hes younger - also wondering if hes starting to have some age related decline. Hanley is just a placeholder

If he asks out then obviously a decision is made but i struggle with Weegs and Whitecloud. I actually think whitecloud might return more but he is the younger player and more flexible contractually which would benefit the club more.

However Weegs has been a rock for us since the trade and likes it here st a decent contract. Tough call.

Rangers have claimed Vincent Iorio off waivers from the Sharks. Was waived by Washington earlier in the season.

If I were 35 I wouldn't want to play for a rebuilding team either

If your question is do I want them to start trading draft picks and prospects to get players who can help them now, no I do not want to change. I am comfortable with what they have been doing, trading vets for picks and prospects and trying to tank.

Confirm? He is injured, out until after the break...speculation is that they are trading him before the deadline as there has been a lot of interest.

Not sure what "done" means exactly

If it means done til after the Olympics, then yes.

If it means done as a Flame for good....then highly unlikely.

From the Eric Francis segment on Friday, it just sounded like Coleman could've played if games mattered but what was the point - so management holding him out until after Olympics to ensure he was 100%. Of course he is still in trade talks and available.
