Try Siem Reap, Cambodia for your hotels if you can... It would save you even a few more dollars, its far cheaper then the ones in Thailand

Don't forget that the hotel also has to be in Travelocity's system though. I tried Siem Reap, and the cheapest hotel in their system seems to be $24/night. Still haven't been able to beat the $13/night Sawasdee Hotel in Bangkok.
I think once you get below $13/night you're probably getting into the realm of hotels that aren't bookable via Travelocity

I'm sure things in Thailand could or probably do work differently but I texted a friend of mine who works in the hotel industry and she said that if you don't show up for the first night, the next day the hotel will charge you for that night and then release the room.
I'm fully expecting to be charged for all 4 nights in Thailand, but just in case they do that, it would be even better.

Funny story, so I go to my boss and tell him that due to last minute flight sale I had to book my flights prior to getting the time off approved.
The days off would have gotten approved anyway but he didn't like the idea of me holding him hostage like that (although that wasn't really my intention).
Anyway to defuse the situation I try to explain to him this deal. His response? What's the code. Now he's gonna treat his wife to LA or Vegas at Christmas and they'll each get their own rooms (although hardly necessary) and $400 off combined.
Time for a raise I tells ya!! And I owe it all to CP and Chris!

I'm a little frustrated. I'm trying to look into booking a flight to Vancouver via this Travelocity quirk.
I'm certain I am using the .com version (clicked the link Chris provided). I enter Calgary to Bangkok, Thailand for example, and selected the dates February 28th, 2013-March 03, 2013.
At this point, do I perform the normal search, or immediately click on advanced search options?
Either way, the hotel list ends up refreshing to Vancouver.
EDIT: Read the fine print, and the promo code won't apply to the dates I selected.

Don't believe there are any out that would help at the moment. Air Canada is releasing a different code each day for the Olympics (kind of like they did for Vancouver 2010). Maybe they'll put one out for U.S. destinations that Westjet will match.
Today's codes were for Australia and South America.
