Best store ever is definitely www.thecamerastore.com. Place is the best and have the best prices of anywhere local as far as I could tell. I found customer service poor at Saneal and Vistek is just generally crappy.
There's no competing with B+H usually price-wise. I bought a lens there once and after shipping and duties, I ended up saving just 20 bucks over The Camera Store. I would have rather paid 20 extra to deal with those guys if anything went wrong and to support a local business.
Depends on the difference in price I suppose. Not a big fan of third party glass either (tokina is decent), but I'm not familiar with this particular lens and I'm sure you've done your research.

I bought my camera at Saneal. I just find I don't really like the place - really just a lack of service. Never had any issues with them per se, they just seem so ho-hum about everything.
Like sun, I recommend The Camera Store. Sign up for their newsletter - you'll get good notice of their sales and upcoming courses and the like. I found the staff very informative and helpful. You can also rent stuff from them, and give it a try before purchasing things - at least you used to be able to. I haven't been over there in a while. Stick with them for everything you need.
Also? Saneal's commercials are sexist and disgusting and really stupid.

Thanks for that. Good to hear there is a reliable local business I can always turn to. Would be even more awesome if they had some sort of price matching policy but as far as I can see they don't.

I've had them give me a deal on gear before, but no one can match B+H or Adorama prices.
Vancouver is missing a place like that.

I'm interested in seeing it. Do you if it can be found online?
Or are you saying I should get into the business of selling my photos?

Not to my knowledge.
It must be an older image; this past May, the Lake Agnes Tea House had a bunch of prints, all rolled up in what essentially appeared to be a trash can, that it was selling for $2 a print. Last year, I recall the print costing $5 at the tea house. Maybe they still have some for sale?
[ETA: It will take a while, but I will see about taking a photo of the print and PM'ing it to you]

Been wanting to get something like this for a long time. It's hard to balance the skyline with the aurora, so it's not as great a shot as I'd have hoped (stupid Calgary Tower is way too bright!), but I'm still pretty happy with it overall. Thanks to puxlut for the heads up!
