I remember reading something about that. I believe it also mentioned that young men are also moving more towards religion, where women are moving more away from it.
Religion potentially making a comeback specifically through gen-z males is kind of wild.
Young women are more self-sufficient than ever before. Young men are in more of a position of just making ends meet. That gap and divide in ideology means more singles and less marriage under 30. Men turn to the manosphere, pseudo-intellectuals (I guess to do the thinking for them) and religion.
Just an interesting progression and not what I probably would've seen coming ten years ago.

Stonewall brought awareness to an issue, but arguably the peaceful protests that followed in memory achieved more.
And finally, the ANC did not overthrow the South African Apartheid regime by violent means. It was external pressure from the western world that forced the change.
Perhaps. But was it the violence that made the world pay attention to queer oppression, to the plight of black South Africans? Would that non-violence have succeeded without the violence?
This executive murder has catalyzed a discussion around healthcare and UHC that might lead somewhere. Americans are talking about how lousy their system is and recognizing a need to act. If it will lead to reforms remains to be seen. But if it does, then this murderer will easily save more lives than the one he took.
Religion that teaches women are subservient to men...can't imagine why loner neckbeards are turning to such things

I really think outside of social media, which will end democracy and send us back into the dark ages, it is only a matter of time before we see a resurgence in witch burning, a huge part of the problem has been the massive over subscription to and over rating of university education.
As a society we would be way better off both financially and socially if at most 20% of our population attended mostly utilitarian degrees, specific to a profession or career and the rest of us that just aren't that bright (myself included) went to trade schools or learnt on the job, you don't need a degree to function as a youth worker or even as a social worker frankly but in order to justify why we send 50% of kids to Uni' we have turned jobs you could easily do with high school or a 2 year diploma at most into a job that you have to take on enough debt to pay a houses downpayment, it is utterly insane, you don't make anymore money as a youth worker today than I did 40 years ago when I started but at least 40 years ago I didn't have enough debt to choke a pig by 25.
I run a foster home as most of you know, my home is an apprentice factory, hand in hand with a local trade program, I pump out carpenters plumbers HVAC's, my kids who should be angry and upset arent because they feel they have a place in the world, within their workplace they have a bit of respect and they arent choking on debt
I think guys are angry because they are can't see themselves achieving the simple goal of what their fathers managed, buying a house and raising a family

First of all it was called the 'Dark Ages' largely due to the lack of written and recorded historical records, something that social media of our modern era is in no danger of doing.
Secondly, they werent big fans of democracy back in that day, it was more serfdom than anything else.
Thirdly, we should be burning more witches. I dont know why society ever strayed from that practice. I mean, odds are if you're a Billionaire theres probably some Black Magic afoot...so, round 'em up, burn 'em at the stake and distribute their wealth amongst the people.
Whats so hard about that?
Also I agree with the rest of your post I just felt like being a little pedantic this morning.

I have no doubt social media will be remembered much like this in the future, it will disappear as the servers shut down and just be remembered dimly by our primitive barely literate descendants
People surprised at the reaction from others about this shooting may want to look into the concept of Social Murder and the people and instututions who legally facilitate and perpetuate it in modern society.
And for whoever was asking for examples of violence working, here's a timely bit of "reconsideration" for you from the very instution this violence targeted

Temporary at best. To me, it sounds like a stop gap measure until the C-levels get their private security details in place. Then they’ll be back to their regular business of maximizing shareholder value.

You might want to brush up on your history. Once the thugs have taken out those at the top, the next group they go after is the bourgeois malcontents who preach revolution with the pen (especially accountants). Not only because they’re a threat (if they can whip up one revolution, they can whip up the next one), but because the thugs have always hated them too (especially accountants).
You are the 20% of people Dion is referring to who do nothin but spread toxicity. Over an over it's complaining and targeting outgroups who don't agree with your political position and wanting to burn them in the witch hunts. Everyone who voted for the Kodos is an "witch" who doesn't care about anyone but themselves. This is simply not true. You don't have a monopoly on morality, but you sure act like it (especially about the witch hunts).
locke, cliffletcher, corporatejay and a bunch of other folks who circle jerk each other how enlightened they are and how much they want the witch hunts have made the off topic forum unbearable with all their talk about the witch hunts.
