I actually caught that on your stream earlier... that was pretty fun to watch. Straight up those guys were probably cursing the Truth, thinking its broken. Probably sent the video to Bungie saying to fix their #### haha
Is anyone up for a push to the lighthouse? This magical place still eludes me! MaxCowDisease on PS4 if you're interested!
I'm a decent player, but I've only ever come very close.
I'm always down for trials, though I'm not sure I'm the candidate for a lighthouse push. Very average at PvP (actually, I'm probably below average if I'm honest with myself). I'll add you and am down to try, but don't expect a Mercury visit with me.

It's rare that I take my Garrison off of my Titan. I think I did it for CoE melee challenge (in favour of a Helm of Saint) and even then it was just an okay idea because I kept trying to juke when I had no juke lol.
I think I might try the CoE this weekend. I haven't played that mode yet, but read up on the modifiers and bonus points. Not sure when I'll be on, so cannot schedule a game or anything, but are LFG groups pretty good for this? Any tips other than focusing on the bonus points?

Honestly, just focus on the bonus points. Certain subclasses with the melee bonus with give you more. Bladedancer will give you points for a melee, and super kill, as well as points for generating an orb. Gunslinger throwing knifes count as a melee, and a precision kill if you're accurate with it
Defender titan has a perk that melee kills while force barrier is active creates an orb, so get points for both.
Certain artifacts will create an orb when you kill something a melee.
I ran around with an auto rifle, monte carlo mostly to soften them up, and get my melee back quicker... then melee'd them to finish it.
The whole thing about CoE is points, and getting as many points as possible in a given round. The bosses are far from bullet sponges so they go down easy enough. Best thing to do that I found was to kill ads, damage boss, spawn more ads, kill all ads, damage boss, etc... ads spawn at damage points much like Skolas in PoE.
If you need someone to run it with you and I'm on just fire me a message. PSN is Diverce
Okay - so it mostly about getting bonus points and using the modifiers to your advantage? That makes sense. I'm thinking its a very different feel from normal - almost arcade like. Sounds fun!
It'd be fun to run gunslinger again in PvE, so I might just try that. My knife skills are okay from PvP, but I know that's very different from playing against the AI. We'll see how it goes, though I read that the nightstalker smoke counts as melee too, so that would be much easier to control I think. Less risk for less reward.
I'll see if your on when I am - would love to play together again.

And this week has an airborne modifier, so make sure you jump punch! I was running defender Helm of Saint yesterday, which is great for brawling in a bubble. My buddy was rocking the striker and Peregrine Greaves which has lots of synergy with this week's modifiers as well.
I am really enjoying Destiny again. I stopped playing just before Bungee released Challenge mode in KF (around Christmas I believe) because at the time, the only way to obtain 320 max light gear was playing either the raid or Trials while there was no guarantee you'd even get the item at the needed level upgrade. Since the April update, not only can i get 335 items in the Strike play list, crucible, nightfall, faction leveling, Court of Oryx and Prison of Elders but now there's a continuous progression of those drops being above my current light level. I've always loved the game play of Destiny but the narrow grind plus RNG just made it not worth playing so these changes are really refreshing. I'm also enjoying the new straight across infusion tier and while it's always more fun playing with friends, its been kinda nice not having to rely on others or having to use LFG. Speaking of which I still haven't played the higher level prisons as most everyone on my friends list are far above my lonely 320, lol. I'm hoping to play it soon as that new Queens pulse rifle looks like it would be fun to play with. I'm glad they made these changes and happy that I can play this game again.

You're quite right Iceman, the changes were very positive. Among other things, I've had a great time experimenting with different weapons now in PVP and PVE thanks to stuff like the straight infusion mechanic. The grind before meant that you not only had to fill your fault with piles of blue stuff for potential future infusion, but you'd really only end up with one or two weapons/armour pieces of each type that actually had a decent light level.

Tried CoE over the weekend and it was a good time. Found a group on LFG really easily and they were both very laid back making for a fun game. It was interesting playing for the bonus points all the time, and we messed up on the first run through by downing the boss too quick in the second round, losing points on adds. The only thing that was odd was the time penalty for "going over" didn't seem that bad and wasn't really a factor. All in all, I really enjoyed it.

This sums it up nicely for me. I don't play everyday but now when I do I can usually progress my characters. Playing before, I would play but my light level would never increase.
I think my final stat line was ~33 kills and 7 deaths. Really liking the Eyasluna I picked up the other day, it's a 3 shot kill ala Thorn + it has LiTC, so I can occasionally two shot someone.

Yeah I've been using Eyasluna quite heavily as well. I've had a few but my favourite roll has LiTC and smallbore. It's a baby, more stable Hawkmoon.
I also picked up the PoE hand cannon with mulligan and rangefinder. Not sure if I like it better than Eyasluna or not. They are similar archetype, but Eyasluna has far more stability, but sacrifices range.
