Browns get the ball back - if they can drive for a TD and Steelers hold on, they are in the playoffs. No pressure Baker.

And they fumble!

Texans about to lose again. What a sweet pick this will be for Miami.

Brutal - can’t gain 1 yard. Four turnovers.

OK, I don't get that call in the Browns / Jets game. If it was fumbled after the line of scrimmage, it's a first down. If it's before the line of scrimmage, and the fumble doesn't hit the ground, isn't it just a handoff that Hunt could advance?

EDIT: Hanson makes same point so apparently I'm not crazy.

No...only the player that fumbles can advance the ball when on offense. Mayfield fumbled short of the 1st down...at that point only he can move the ball forward. As soon as Hunt grabbed the ball, they were short of 1st down yardage, regardless of what happened after that.

My point is that if it doesn't hit the ground, it's not a fumble. He's allowed to hand the ball off to Hunt or pitch it to him, or shovel it to him, or transfer it to him in any way, whether he does it on purpose or not.

Hell, the ball literally went straight backwards - even if he did it in front of the LOS, it should be considered a lateral.

He is still bad at football. Shame they reported DC masquerading as HC Fangio will be back next year too. Elway riding this tandem directly into hell.

Looks like it touched a defensive player first.

It does look like it touched a Jets player's forearm before Hunt got it, yes. Does that matter if it doesn't hit the ground, though?

If, for example, you lateral the ball, and a defensive player touches it and tips it in the air, and then your RB grabs it out of the air and runs it in for a TD, does the TD not count?

The Ravens got their break and are in the playoffs. They are going to roll everyone and get to the Superbowl. Buffalo might hang with them but I think they look unstoppable right now.

If I was Trevor Lawrence I try and force a trade to a NGC team. The AFC is already stacked with young talent at the QB position. The NFC is long in the tooth veterans so 3 years out and you can rule that Conference without a lot of competition.

Why is Amadi covering Cooper Kupp one on one on 3rd down? FFS Norton.

The Ravens are unstoppable when they don’t turn it over

However , they are almost guaranteed to have a playoff game where they have 2-3 turnovers at some point . Then they are in big trouble as they don’t have big play WRs and it really shows when they are trailing

Looks like the official ruling is that it was fumbled behind the line. And recovered by Hunt beyond on the line so it goes back to the spot of the fumble.
