Not really a commercial, but good god, those Opa! ads are creepy as hell with that ventriloquist-doll-girl-thing. What is the point of that? The ads make no sense.
The one about the Nissan Rogue is so stupid. Dad pulls in and his son is all amazed at this fantastic piece of machinery. He looks down and only says "It's a Rogue" Like that is supposed to explain the amazingness of it.
They they go for a trip with all of the sons friends and they all all looking at the trunk in awestruck amazement and the son just says "It's a Rogue" again like that is supposed to impress all of his friends and they will forever look up to him as their leader because his family drives a Rogue.
So stupid
That business card commercial on the radio is really starting to get annoying. The old man sounds like a pedophile, and the woman sounds like a moron. Combined, they sound like they have no idea how to make a professional sounding commercial, so I have no idea what makes anyone think their crappy, $10 business cards are going to look professional. Ssshhh
I just don't get how Sportsnet can do such good commercials for the Blue Jays while everything else is terrible. These idiotic, sappy hockey commercials only make me want to punch Ron MacLean in the face. More than I usually do, at any rate.

Huh. I usually fantasize about whacking MacLean in the shins with a length of rebar. I'll try out your punching in the face scenario next time.

I already mentioned this before elsewhere, but the faux hometown hockey and Canadian tradition bull#### that goes along with it is seriously out of control.
I just want to watch the game, ok?

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
Pretty much all hockey-themed commercials are just the worst. Im not sure why every company out there feels they need to tie a lame hockey angle (usually about how they understand our passion and they too feel the passion) into their product.
Yes, we like hockey, but it doesn't define everything we do, so stop the damn pandering.

This one is more like, commercials I don't understand...
Cascade dishwasher packets.
They go from having kitchen councillors, to a couple bickering about rinsing, to a dinner party group arguing wether or not Alfredo will come off, to the new one, where some gruff broad yells "HEY HONEY" like some alcoholic Jersey shore pawn broker.
Their product does rock, though.

No kidding, I usually start watching games late so I can skip the ads but I was watching the Blue Jays game on Sunday live. The Hockey Night in Canada ad was seriously the biggest pile of crap I've seen in some time. It was so ridiculous, as if watching 5 minutes of a hockey game on TV would somehow unlock the key to how every single Canadian ticks.
Just an insult to the majority of viewers.

It's got some nostalgia. They ran similar campaigns during the world series runs.
I thought that's when I had seen those similar jingled adds last but was second guessing myself because "it couldn't have been THAT long ago, could it?". Thanks for clearing it up and making me realize just how old I am!
The nostalgia of that era means that I can't judge it on the Coca Cola ad on merit. I was such a huge Jays fan in the early 90s and that ad brings a ton of memories back. It's weird how effective it is actually.
