Yeah he was terrible today I was actually at the game and Sanchez didn't throw the ball in the second half because it was 35-3 by halftime. Brunell played the a lot of the 2nd half. You are blaming him for not running up the score? Sanchez had a brilliant game today.
Jets under Ryan have been monsters in December and January, but keep on treating them like they don't belong. I think they like being underdogs.

What? They like being underdogs so much that they won't shut the hell up and beg for everyone to pay attention to them?

Yet the Cowboys defense becomes panic mode. Offside then holding. The crowd of 90000+ strong are just silent, fearing impending doom.
That defense statistically may not be the worst in the league, but when it's clutch, they are non-existent. We saw it in the overtime last week in Arizona and on the last two drives tonight.

I'm afraid as a Cowboys fan it isn't even a mild surprise. Been a long time since they had a good dependable defense. They score 34 stinkin point on the Giants and still manage to lose. Amazing.

Ya thats pretty brutal for the poor guy....although if they pulled off a miracle he would be basically guaranteed a HC job next season! (Assuming he wanted it)

Haley is a pretty toxic guy and there were rumors early in the season that he and Pioli were barely on speaking terms at times. You look at the way he ran off Chan Gailey, Charlie Weis. The way he would ream out Cassel and others on the sidelines. The handshake incident against Denver last year. The sideline incident when he was with the Cards spazzing on Anquan Bolden in the playoffs. He's just not a people person and players just aren't going to play hard, long for a guy like that. Yeah the injuries hurt but the losing is a good excuse for Pioli correct his mistake and get rid of a guy that isn't head coach material.
I assume Pioli wanted to get him out of there ASAP just to get his abrasive nature out of the locker room so they could put him in the past and focus on next year.

He was HC of the Browns for 4 seasons, this is just more of the same.

Yep. Crennell's used to being placed in a situation as head coach where his team is doomed to lose. Guy is a great defensive coordinator though and I imagine he will stay on as DC next year at the very least seeing he and Pioli have a working relationship going back to the Patriots.

I was afraid of that...you could tell it wasnt just somethung that hurt and was indeed an injury.
Will be interesting too see how defenses play the packers with him out now...as he was always going to be the first guy to stop which has allowed Nelson to have the year he is having...but with Finley, Nelson, even old man Driver as well as James Jones and rookie Cobb...Rodgers still has a lot of weapons if they can design ways to get 1 on 1 coverages.
The best part of yesterays game was seeing Ryan Grant start to return to some form of relaibility...with Starks expected back ina couple weeks, the running game should be just fine in time for the playoffs....again.

Too much chaos with the offence and him around. Same HC, and it's the third different offence in three seasons. Obviously he was driving Charlie Weiss nuts that he took a job in Florida to be closer to family, only to take a job in Kansas a year later. Too bad because Weiss did something with the offence last year. Jim Zorn should probably be told to stay home too...that guy is like Kryptonite to any NFL offence he's around as a coach.
I don't know who'll they'll hire on, but I hope like hell they stay away from Josh McDaniels, who's been rumored to be a potential hire. I would just like to see someone who can bring some form of stability to the offence and not meddle with it.

49ers the first team since the 1920 Decatur Staleys to go 13 games without allowing a rushing TD. It is also 35 games since allowing a 100 yard rusher.
Although poor angles in the secondary really gave up a few big plays.
But inept red zone offence is what ultimately killed them yesterday.

They've been looking to fire him all season.
Maybe they want to hire Todd Haley before someone else does!

While all of that is true, I think its foolish to think the Broncos are winning in spite of Tebow. Not that you were saying that.
The defence is the story to me, for sure. Von Miller looks like a 10 year veteran and DJ Williams is playing a rejuvenated game. Dumvervil has rounded into the form of 2009 and Champ Bailey continues to be a dominant corner. It's so refreshing to see the Broncos win with defence.
The New England game is interesting because their defence is god awful. It is going to be a fun game. I don't expect the Broncos to win.

I was never a fan of the hire in the first place, and stated as much numerous times. Not that I'm a football expert by any strech of the means. I just figured he was the flavor of the month when the Cards went to the Super Bowl and was the easiest hire for Pioli at the time. Some Cardinals fans I know where more than happy to see him leave Arizona.
Still, I was hoping it would work out. But it is time for a change with the complete lack of production on offense so far this season. I really hope the Chiefs can find a decent coach. Maybe Marty will come back.

As far as I know, Herm Edwards is available.
