GM's don't think he'll be as successful in the NHL, was carried by linemate.

For Detroit, 1 of Kasper, Danielson, Berggren would do. Al9ng with a 1st. 25 1st at that seeing as both 24 1sts are in play still from the DeBrincat trade.

I would rather have McMichael. As a London Knights fan I can tell you he has the skills to be a top 6 C.

Personally I would view McMichael as quite similar to Mercer. Maybe slightly less as he's played less games so his numbers are lower, but I truly think that is because of the depth that Washington had at center for the last 5 years.

Really depends on where the pick is. You wouldn't want to give away a 12th overall pick when a couple more losses could allow you to give up the 28th pick. But if you make the playoffs and have the 17th or 18th pick - its not great but not the end of the world - especially if Florida has a season like Vegas has this year and picks 22nd.
You also don't have to be that awful to get a top 10 pick. The Flames right now are about a 2 game losing streak away from having a top 10 pick. Minnesota would pick 9th right now and they are 1 point behind Calgary.

For what it's worth, Seravalli just said on Kyper and Bourne that he's under the impression Hanifin is willing to re-sign with Florida and Tampa Bay, and the other teams he may consider re-signing with is Vegas, Boston, and LA.
Again, it's Seravalli, but it's food for thought in the context of this thread I guess.

Pelletier with a random lovefest post for Mikael Backlund on Instagram lol. Probably nothing at all, but a bit funny.

I would trade straight across for Kasper or Danielson.

With Vegas losing Stone for the reg season and potentially the playoffs I’d love to figure out a trade with them. Keeps the them of helping the west get better against Edmonton too; Cotter is a young roster player that could step in, more of a mid 6/line 3 option so far I think he could have some success playing up in a lineup and I love his tenacity. Brisson has a cup of coffee so far as well with Vegas and doesn’t look out of place.
Hanifin retained + ext
Duehr
For
Cotter
Brisson
24 1st
25 2nd

If it's Boston it has to start and end with Poitras right?
Conny has clearly said he would like a young center and the tradeable assets are nearing their end.

So far from all these trades, it seems like no team is willing to trade their top prospects. I think the best we can hope for is a prospect ranked within the 5-10 range of a team’s prospect pool. We’ve all speculated about guys like Kasper, Danielson, Bourque, Stankoven, Ritchie, Wallinder, etc. I just don’t think they will be included in any trades at this point.

With Pinder I think he was willing to bet the mortgage that Tanev doesn't get a first. So yeah, he was pretty sure that it starts with a second.

McMichael could still turn into a top-6 center, but his NHL numbers are not improving drastically, and his AHL numbers are not elite either.

Interesting because Friedman said Hanifin would sign with NJ.
