So then why did the UCP ask the feds for more TFW's, while begging people from other provinces to move here?

How do people fall for this BS double speak blame game

Is everyone going to one of the Forever-Canada signing events this weekend? We need to get that petition through to lock in the referendum question.

Should that get its own thread? CP Political Jihad!

Honestly a tale as old as time- Immigrants are named as problem and set up as political scapegoats, but keep flowing in as big business wants the cheapest labor they can find, pay politicians off to keep them flowing in while running on clearing them out and blaming them again for all of society's problems.

Watch the show Warrior- not only for the awesome writing and fight scenes, but also to see how this played out for the Chinese in turn of the century San Francisco. Before that, the Irish, before that, probably Italians

Is there an up to date list anywhere? Their website seems to be unable to to maintain stuff like that. I saw in /r/Calgary yesterday that there was one at Carburn Park tomorrow, but nothing anywhere close to official.

It is not the easiest to keep on top of. Their website shows Nose Hill Park has a signing booth tomorrow from 10-12 in the morning.

CTV is reporting more booths:
Quote:
While many of those are going door-to-door or arranging small pop-up-style collection sites, the group does have some events scheduled in Calgary this week to collect signatures.

Aug. 12 — Rosemont Community Centre, Confederation Park, 4 to 6 p.m.;
Aug. 13, 14, 15 — City Hall plaza steps, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.;
Aug. 16 — Nose Hill Park, Shaganappi entrance, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.;
Aug. 16 — Confederation Park North, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.;
Aug. 16 — Carburn Park, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.;
Aug. 16 — Prince’s Island, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and,
Aug. 17 — Confluence Park, Riverwalk near bison structure, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Following on bluesky seems to be the way to go: https://bsky.app/profile/lukaszukab.bsky.social

It has a similar list to what CTV reported but added North Glenmore from 11am-3pm.

Wife and I went and signed it a few days ago. It's own thread is a good idea, might get more eyes on it

Edit: I'm willing to start one later when I'm on a computer but if someone beats me to it, awesome

I signed up to be a signature collector. When I get my package I can meet up with anyone on CP that lives near Mount Pleasant.

"Here's the thing, you can act like an ass and get your 30 seconds of fame and you'll be asked to leave and you're kind of wrecking it for everybody else that actually came here to speak to the Premier and the panel and hear a good discussion...like, huh, honestly...is that really so hard for adults to do?"

I dunno, Bruce. Have you considered being an adult running the province, first? You insufferable canker sore?

Also, it's a fascinating study to witness the schoolyard bully act like a bouncer for all the shortbus kids in a reality where they have the power over him.
