Spain sure is playing boring, huh Moon?

Still hoping for a comeback, but when this team turns it on, it doesn't seem like anyone else can keep up.

Italy tried to keep playing offensive forgetting that their defensive play is what led to opportunities in the opening game.

There is a reason teams don't try to attack Spain all out and it's because if you give them too much space on the break the skill will eat you alive.

Forca Barca...Forca Espaņa! Vamos la Roja!

Two great Spanish goals, Spain definitely looking like the superior team. 45 minutes until they become the first team to win 3 consecutive major football tournament.

This is the Spanish side that's been missing all tournament. When they play like that going forward they are impossible to stop.

Has Brazil never won three in a row - World Cup and South America?

Didn't Uruguay do it at one point as well?

Good to see Italy getting hammered, after watching the Germans pound on them but not able to score was disgusting.

Can't believe how many hand balls have been missed in this tournament

Poor Motta. That hamstring is done.

Italy down to 10.

Yup.

As much as I've bashed that Spanish side for their style of play, this has been brilliant. Devastating passing at high speeds. They looked so pedestrian against Portugal and probably should have lost in the 90 minutes. But today, brilliant.

Lol Italy outplayed Germany all game, anybody who watched that game said as much.

This Spanish team showed up to play, and the Italians didn't have their tactics right. They came to attack instead of defending and counter attacking.

But that's how Italy has played this tournament. They haven't defended at all. Mostly because the defense was quite weak at was shown against Croatia and at time against Ireland. So Italy sitting back would just be suicide.

They should've left Motta out there sitting on the center circle as a speed bump for Spain.

Absolutely brutal way to lose the finals. Go down to 10 due to injury.

Not saying that if Italy had 11 men they would win but this has really taken away any chance they had of coming back

The first game against Spain was quite defensive and they attacked on the counter on that one. That Spain team was still in cruise control though.

Hard enough to play against Spain with 11, now that they are down to 10 and with there 3rd game in a week they are just done.

Yeah, Germany was pedestrian in the semi. Italy fully deserved their place in the final. They had no answer for Pirlo.

Today Spain has the answer for Pirlo - 6 midfield players and great possession.

hmmm I recall Italy on the attack and having 4 or 5 good scoring chances in the 1st half against Spain... Spain were just walking though, not any near what they are tonight.
