I’m really looking forward to a season of ripping around on studs.

I'm hoping to spend less than $100 for two cars. Tires are R18 and R19 and I want to cover the entire thing because I store them in a leaky shed and I'm hoping for less of a chance of finding a nest inside after.

I'm usually pretty good at finding these types of things, but somehow for this specific item, I'm a little at a loss. I've been occasionally looking for this product since the spring.
I bought these last year when they were on sale at Cdn Tire. I left my tires/wheels outside and they stayed dry.

I thought storing them on their sides was bad for them?

Got mine done this morning, ready for winter.. Mostly. Every year I curse my frameless windows that get frozen so they don't roll down the 2cm when I open the door automatically and make me worry about breaking the glass.

Maybe I should tell my wife that she has to park outside for once...

The Michelin website says to stack if they’re on rims, and to store upright if they’re not.

How could it ever possibly be wrong to store tires in the way they’d normally be oriented on the vehicle?

My guess is leaving the tires in their drive-ready position but not being moved at all in 5 or so months may create weird wear on the spot of the tire that hasn't moved all winter.

Because unless your car doesn’t move for 6 months, they’re never oriented that way for more than a few hours or days?

What’s a wheel/tire combo weigh? How much PSI does it take to avoid deflection/deformation? Like, if you have 35 pounds in your tire and it’s not supporting anything but the weight of the wheel, there is absolutely no way that tire can develop a flat spot.

Michelin are french and have a marshmallow as their mascot. Who can ever tell what the French are thinking?

Ride them hard, just don’t put them away wet… at least that’s what your momma taught me.

What made you decide to go for studs?

I'm on my second set of Conti's and never once wish I had put nails in them.

Mostly for fun. I like being able to go wherever, whenever, which a good set of Hakkas will get you 95% of the way there, but I wanted to see if I could pull any extra traction out of the edge cases.

How do you tell if tires have the tire sensors? My wife got a new to her car over the summer that came with winters. They are mounted on factory rims, not steelies so I can't look inside without taking the tires off the rims. Since they are factory rims I don't know if they have sensors or not. If they were steel rims I would just assume they don't.
