Lucas is beyond brutal but starting him on three days rest in that temperature? Who is making these decisions?
Also, Loperfido might have the weakest arm that I’ve seen in a long time.

This is probably a good thing that this is happening pre-deadline. Enforces the need for pitching. They have been getting by on band-aids and medical tape.
I would DFA Chad Green between games and fly someone in from Buffalo. He is basically throwing BP these days. He just gives up bombs every time he is in it seems!

How quickly can they get someone to Baltimore from Buffalo? It's about a 6 hour drive, or about an hour long flight. DFA Lucas and call up an arm from Buffalo. Anders Tolhurst is scheduled to start today for Buffalo, which probably means he is ready to throw some innings if needed. Buffalo was rained out on Saturday and Sunday and had Monday off, so their relievers should be rested. Kloffenstein hasn't pitched since the 20th.
