Do I think that a professional should act professionally? Yes.
Do I think Lucic should be suspended? No.
Do I think Lucic should be fined? Yes.
I also think any time a player disrespects the handshake that player should be fined as well.
I don't think it's right to say "yeah he shouldn't have done it, but we all do things we shouldn't do so f-it."
To me that's like saying "yeah, you shouldn't be allowed to body check a goaltender out from in front of the net so your team can score, but players have interfered with goalies before so who cares".
I don't think that this is the biggest travesty in the history of hockey, I do think it adds to the argument that Lucic is classess, and I do think there should be a fine involved.

Dude, you just made the same post 3 posts ago. You don't like Lucic, we get it.

Actually I was replying to people that replied to me. Furthermore, the fact that you don't understand what I'm talking about means that even if I made the same post 3 times in a row, you don't get it.
It doesn't matter who said "I'm going to f*ing kill you" in the handshake line, it's unacceptable and they should be fined.
If Iginla did the same thing, or Monahan, or Yzerman, or Borrows, or whomever, it's unacceptable.
In each of my posts I've talked about the act and what should happen with the act. I don't hide my feelings about Lucic, but I make them clear to demonstrate that I'm not being biased against him, I'm trying to be objective.
So, post #4 in a row... hopefully this is clearer
If a player is disrespectful in the post-series handshake line, they should be fined accordingly, regardless of who the player is.

This horse has been dead for a couple of pages now, can we quit beating it yet?
Not while people are reacting to this by saying the handshake is stupid and should be abolished. Lucic is a giant ######bag that can't control himself in any situation, we don't need to abolish a great tradition because of him.

I find the amount of drama about what *guys said* in the playoffs this year getting absurd. Between Duncan Keith's "wakey wakey" comment and the Lucic comment, people have lost their minds about what were likely 2 of the least offensive comments made in the playoffs compared to what I've heard sitting in the first 10 rows of any game I've been to.
Credit to Dale Weise. 2 weeks ago, I had no real clue who this guy was. Now I know he's a big suck hole. Pains me that this guy is a fellow Winnipegger. He's gonna hear way worse from the ladies he's creeping on at the Palomino Club this summer so I hope he brings some tissues.
How dare you refuse to have political correctness shoved down your throat! Everything is rainbows and sunshine and puppies!

Well let's mic these guys up then. Who would be your recommendation to head up the new department of player comments and sensitivity?
I do understand what you're saying, contrary to what you think... All I'm saying is that this is a dead issue that didn't have much legs beyond about 2 hours after it happened when it was mildly amusing/interesting.

So Lucic is a jerk. A lot of hockey players are jerks and that's probably what gives some of them an edge. Some of them are jerks on the ice and nice guys off. I don't know where Lucic lands but things have progressed in the NHL though as this video shows. When he's talking about name calling, I think he's just referring to the racist aspect.
Weiss was asked what Lucic said in the line. He said that it was classless, but didn't say what Lucic said.
How does that make Weiss a suck hole? What exactly did Weiss do wrong there?
As for what Lucic said, if it was during the game I'd agree. But once the game is over then so are the antics. You shake hands out of respect and move on.
Respect is something that is undervalued in our society. It should be encouraged, and taught to not only children but encouraged for adults as well.
Keep the mind games IN the game. Once the game is over leave it at that.
Weise is a suck hole because he shouldn't have said anything. When Lucic was asked about it, you didn't hear him say that Markov made comments to him in the handshake line. He didn't even address it, which is exactly how it should have been handled.
