After the Als score a TD, Christian just returns the kickoff the entire length of the field. 110 yards.

And now the Argos run a fake punt. Barker is pulling out all the tricks tonight.

Argos are still a lot of smoke and mirrors. They finish the season 9-9 at best.

Offensively maybe smoke and mirrors but something that has been consistent all year is their defense is pretty solid and that'll keep them in most games.

The way I break it down is have them going 8-10 which would most likely be good for second in the East.

I'll bet you they go better than 8-10. I fully expected them to win this week.
No doubt they will probably not continue this pace but in order to achieve your prediction they'd have to go 3-8 the rest of the way. They still play Edmonton once, B.C. once, Winnipeg twice and Hamilton three times among those. Only 3 more wins? I doubt it.

Toronto can't be that bad of a team as they have beaten the Alouettes and Stampeders at home. This is a league with three teams who stand out above the rest, and three teams that the rest of the league is trampling all over, basically leaving Toronto and Hamilton as the only two middle of the road teams. The Ti-Cats will likely end up 8-10 and the Argos will be the 10-8 team. Fact is when you have teams like BC and Edmonton who will win 3 games maximum, it creates extra wins for mediocre teams.
I think final standings will look like
Montreal 14-4
Toronto 10-8
Hamilton 9-9
Winnipeg 5-13
Calgary 15-3
Saskatchewan 14-4
Edmonton 3-15
BC 2-16

Lots of talk about how bad the Eskimos are but things are crumbling around Wally Buono nearly just as much. The Lions are really, really bad. Wally really had a handle on QB's when he was in Calgary but in BC it's been one QB controversy after another and he hasn't done a good job of adding talent to what has become an aging team. Also his Sutter-like loyalty to guys like Chapdelaine who I've always thought was a terrible OC going back to his days under Wally in Calgary when the Stampeders were on the decline has also hurt the team. Lulay doesn't look like the long term answer and the rest of the team is old and lacking in talent.
Definately down times for the Lions and Eskimos.

I got this into paper Monday in Eskcetera portion, but Esks asked stamps for permission to talk to John Murphy for GM job

Over at the Al's blog at the Montreal Gazette they said according to a well placed CFL source Al's assistant GM Marcel Desjardins is going to be interviewed for the GM job in Edmonton.

Edmonton is in a downward spiral. At this rate they will have replaced everyone except for the coach. Watching them fall apart againt the Stamps Sunday was both comical and sad.
