OK, wow. Multi-tasking in iOS4 is very cool. It's fast, too!
Edit: Also, mad props for the unified mailbox!

Does unified mailbox mean proper send as well.. i.e. if I get a message from emailaddy1.com and emailaddy2.com and reply to each, does the reply work out properly?

I'm just about to test that. I'm still dealing with the incredible annoyance of having pop accounts, and no way to "mark all as read" on the phone.
Edit: Yes it does. I was worried about that too. That could have been a deal breaker for me.

Hey they added an icon for screen orientation lock! When I double tap the Home Button to bring up the task switcher, I can go to the left and get some constant controls... iPod, Play, Next, Previous... and Orientation Lock!

If you're a registered developer, the WWDC session videos are available, and for the first time, it's available to all devs, not just WWDC attendants.
Edit: HOLY CRAP IS XCODE 4 AWESOME.

Damn you!
Is there still an NDA?
Edit: On a side note, the new iPhone has 512MB of RAM (twice as much as the iPad and 3GS).

I would say no.

You can register as a developer for free but to submit applications you have to pay the money.

It's still a preview for WWDC attendants. Similar to last year. We'll see it when 4.0 is released to the masses. (I think).

After watching about half of the xcode 4 video I've come to the conclusion that if we all became Apple developers and then had to transition to any other IDE, we'd become ######ed. They are doing EVERYTHING for you. Including fixing your syntax errors if possible.
HOLY CRAP! That's amazing, but at the same time, people are going to become dependent on those tools, and that's not necessarily a good thing.
Also, the guy who talks about the editor advancements keeps saying "libary" and it makes me want to travel back in time to last week and smack him. He also pronounces attribute as "a-tribute" (if that makes any sense)

I'll be excited when I can just yell my ideas at my computer and Xcode makes it.

I'm an idiot. I didn't even think of looking for an Xcode video. Now that whole conversation makes a lot more sense... I guess that's what 3 straight days of cramming for a math final will do.
...off to watch it now!

iOS 4 makes my 3G much snappier. I'm a little disappointed that you can't use the app switcher at all and can't change the homescreen wallpaper.
Folders are great and they finally added podcast meta data after 4 freaking years. Even my 6 year old mini could show it.

I've been using vi for a decade or so. I'm waaay faster in that than anything else. There's a reason it's still in use after so many years. It's a bit archaic, yes, but damn is it every fast when you know what you're doing.
And I code pretty low-level stuff, I find it well suited to that.

Oh, there most certainly is - as a sysadmin, vi is the one screen oriented (eg. with cursor control and scrolling) editor I can expect to find on more than 99% of all Unix and Unix-like systems.
Same cannot be said for emacs, pico or any of the millions of other editors.
