Sometimes I panic and bring them up. In truth, I always panic and can't aim properly up close. I tend to swing around violently. I also can't move and aim very well meaning I'm a sitting duck in most encounters. I absolutely need a good drop on a guy to kill them.

If I'm using engineer class with the submachine gun I usually strafe back and forth and shoot in bursts aiming for the head. Also the knife is easily the best weapon in close combat. Most people seem to panic if you lunge at them with the knife inside a house. I assume you're using a console which took me forever to get used to aiming with. Sometimes you need to play with the sensitivity settings to get a better feel for it.

I'm a PC player.

I rely solely on the crosshairs and never zoom in to use the gun's sights or scopes, (other than snipers).

Am I losing accuracy by doing this?

Yes, the iron sights raises the gun which makes it more accurate. On hardcore servers you dont even get the white crosshairs so you need to use the iron sights. Whats your username so I can add you to friends?

I guess I better adapt my gameplay then to include raising the gun. Played a hardcore server last night for a little while a quickly realized how inept I was.

I was terrible in the hardcore server I tried. But I also think quite a few guys had aimbots since punkbuster was off.

I've got a headset but hardly use it. I found the footsteps thing doesnt seem to be an advantage in this game compared to others.

I haven't seen anyone talk about PS3 gameplay, so I'll assume I'll be blackballed by asking this, but has anyone here played MAG? The responsiveness of BF BC2 multi-player is much better, but wow is it fun to play a game with complex objectives and a deeper team structure. I wonder if more games go this route in the future?

Soldier stats are updated every 24 hours, so basically anything you've done on a registered server before the day you check it is on there.

No M1 Garand stats though.

I've been trying a bunch of the multiplayer achievements. I thought I had the roadkill with an air vehicle but it didnt count it as a roadkill. I crushed a guy with the nose of my blackhawk and it said. PRAY FOR M0J0 killed player and I didnt get credit for the achievement. I'm going to try the repair tool hs tonight. I killed a teammate with it yesterday when we were repairing a tank.

The repair tool achievement is hilarious. I got it by going behind a sniper, raping him from behind for 2 minutes, then when he noticed me, I tooled him in the face.
