Sorry for the previous confusion, I know how much of an impact this is on all your lives.

Last year the Chiefs moved pretty slow in first getting Scott Pioli in place as GM, and than hiring a head coach. By the time Haley had been brought in, it was pretty slim pickings in terms of the guys who could be hired as assistants. I think that is why a guy like Pendergast whom he knew came along with him. Unfotunately these delays caused the Chiefs to go through another bad year where the whole team was under evaluation by fire.
But I think things should be better moving forward here. They do have a couple of experienced assistants to work with the players as well as the inexperienced head coach. They should all be on the same page and should be able to work at getting the team moving forward again. At least it appears that the owner is serious about trying to get a stonger organization in place.

Yup, and to me it makes no sense. I get the fans are passionate about it, but both are different players and both excel at what they do.

Looks like one of the esteemed members of the Indianapolis Colts Mt. Rushmore could be facing some serious jail time if this article is true.
Edit: I forgot that he has already walked, hope this article shines some light back on this.

Nixon was across the street and thirty yards away when Harrison started shooting. Pop pop pop pop pop pop—a great staccato gust of bullets. Steadily, Nixon says, Harrison unloaded both guns into the fat man's car, stippling the red Toyota Tundra with bullet holes as the fat man ducked in his seat. Eventually, the fat man sat up and sped off, heading straight toward Nixon's position as Harrison darted into the street and continued to shoot.
Now Nixon was in the line of fire. He turned and ran. He ran as fast as he could with his belly and his smoker's cough as bullets slivered through doors and lodged in walls.
Behind him, unbeknownst to Nixon, a bullet ripped through the fat man's hand. Another bullet shattered the glass of a car containing multiple adults and a 2-year-old boy. The adults instantly bailed, abandoning the little boy in the car, the glass flowering into razor-sharp petals and bloodying the boy's eye.

Since last month the Niners had been the rumoured home team. That it is the Broncos (who will be the visitors) is a bit of a surprise, I had heard a few teams named as opponents but that wasn't one of them.

Thank god. It would be pretty effd up to have a west coast team have to travel to London to play a 'home' game.

I'll be lucky to be able to make the game in KC, a mere 200 miles away!

Hey, I'm just happy they didn't take Fraizer from us!! I really don't like losing defensive coordinators every two years!
Even though we will lose Fraizer soon, as there was speculation that Seattle was going to hire Dungy as president and he was going to take his pal Fraizer to Seattle as his coach. So I think if Dungy ever comes back to football, we will see Leslie Fraizer as his coach.

Nolan seems like a no nonense guy and McDaniels sure is a bit of a maverick. That or Nolan wanted to resurrect his suit wearing days and McDaniels agreed only if it included a poncho over top.
Chan Gailey? Hah. Embarassing rejections of interviews were mounting and BUF couldn't risk too many more.

Hilarious.
Marty Schottenheimer was fired for winning one more game than Norv did.

Yeah, but Norv does have a 3-3 playoff record, which although it isn't great, it's not exactly easy to be much better than that. There is a bit more to the story in that when Marty lost his assistants in Wade Phillips and Cam Cameron there was some friction between him and AJ Smith as to who the new co-ordinators would be and that was why they axed him.
Funny enough though, the Jets pretty much went into San Diego and beat them playing Marty ball, but with his son Brian running the offence. The sweet ironny for the Schottenheimers!
