I've never been a Bills fan. For a number of years my 2 favourite teams were the 49ers and whoever was playing the Bills.
But holy cow, you have to respect Ralph Wilson.
Quote:
Wilson matches $100,000 food drive gift
David and Myra Conley discovered on the spur of the moment that Buffalo Bills owner Ralph C. Wilson Jr. is a man of his word during Sunday’s season opener against Seattle.
The Bills held their annual Fan Food Drive at Ralph Wilson Stadium to benefit the Food Bank of Western New York. Wilson annually matches all cash donations made at the stadium. Typically, those donations amount to about $12,000.
The Conleys, who live in East Amherst, surprised the Bills with a check for $100,000.
....
Counting the donations of the Conleys and Wilsons, the Fan Food Drive collected a record total of $219,178.08, in addition to donations of 6,287 pounds of food. “I said, ‘Ralph, next year are you going to cap it?’ ” Conley said. “He said, ‘No, I’m not.’ I said, ‘Ralph, you don’t know me. When you tell me it’s not capped for next year, I’m asking you to rethink it.’ He said, ‘No cap for next year.’ I said, ‘I’ll see you next year.’ ”

Great story there ^^^^....Im not sure how anyone hates the Bills....the lovable losers who had GREAT teams during the 80's-90's but couldnt finish the deal. Small market team much like a GB for example, who play in the harshest conditions late in the season. Love watching the Bills, always have.
Anyhow....heads up fantasy guys...the Colts have lost both Dallas Clark AND Jeff Saturday for todays game against the Vikes...two big cogs in that teams scheme...could easily be an 0-2 start for the Indy.

The Bills are going to look great in Toronto in a few years.
Transplant, I hope Indy goes 0-2 because I don't want the Vikings in that hole going into week 3.

Easy, live in an area where all the cable channels are from Buffalo (I went to university at McMaster in Hamilton). During their ascendancy, the Bills rah-rah-rah was crazy. If your favourite team was the Bills, you loved it. If the Bills weren't your favourite team, you quickly grew to hate the coverage and, by extension, the Bills.

Not sure if it was mentioned earlier (I didn't see it) but Sean Payton had his current contract thrown out and is now working on a 5 year deal that puts him in the top 5 highest paid head coaches in the NFL.
Wow.
I think actions like this, when made with positive evidence mind you, are very important toward organizational success.

Could Purple Jesus make a run at his own record today? 8 carries for 72 yards in the first quarter.

yeah so far he seems to be Offensive options #1-3. Minnesota's D looks like they came to play also.

My son is a huge fan. Started following him at OU and now he's become a Vikings fan because of it. He's not too happy about not being able to watch today's game.

Raiders have yet to self-destruct. The Chiefs look terrible... so far.
Apparently, win or lose, the Raiders are going to fire Kiffen after the game. I now officially hate Skeletor and I'm fully accepting that they will be terrible until he is committed.

I know it's still early, but the Colts do not look like a contender this year. That O-line is brutal. Can't believe I'm going to lose $40 on this game.

The Chiefs offence by numbers looks absolutely pathetic right now. 4-13 passing for like 0 net yards and an interception. Rushing isn't much better as teams know how to stop the Chiefs running play. Poor Chiefs defence, they actually are playing pretty well with a 17 yard punt letting Janikowski kick a 54 yard FG and stopping a 1st and goal from the 9 after a turn over. But I think the Chiefs won't put up any points today...against a team that got ripped apart last week. The Chiefs better fix that line in the offseason (yeah week two and thats what I have to look forward too!) and find someone who can play QB.

What kind of Leon Lett moron is that Raiders guy? OMG.
What a gift!!
NOTE: I called him Leon Lett before Kevin Harlan.
Interesting that the officials failed to blow the play dead, but give the ball to the Raiders anyway.

McFadden better learn how to hold on to the ball or he will have a very short career.
