If power plays a role then bosses should never be able to marry their secretaries. CEOs will never be allowed to marry someone from the sanitation department? Principals can't marry teachers? Give me a break

I do know though. I know that when I think of two men together I don't like it. I know that when I think of two men getting married it doesn't seem right. And I just know that for me I don't support it. That is all I need.

I would like to explain but it seems that my explanations are not sufficiant for many of the posters here.

I was speaking tongue in cheek with my everyone like me post but I honestly do not have a problem with telling other how I think they should live which seems to be a big issue with many gay marriage supporters.

a boss and his secretary, maybe lets say for sake of argument, age 41 and age 22.

a mom, say age 41, her child say age 12.

To me, that's enough of an argument there.

I did but we have not and are not close to (as far as I know) having a vote and if we did then I guess I would be actively opposing it. I meant more that I am not trying to convince any one else to my position or trying to lobby the gov't or taking any active means such as that to ensure that they don't et the right.

Okay MMF, I will ask you this. A man has been told by many doctors that he can never have kids. His sister has been told by even more doctors she can never have kids. They decide to get married. They are siblings. Everytime they have sex in the comfort of their own home, he uses a condom. There will be no pregancy so no deformed kids.

Would you or would you not be against this incest marriage? They are two individuals that are deeply in love and have been for decades. Their lifestyle does not affect you whatsoever. You are telling me you would vote yes to their marriage?

Ohio has 20 electoral votes.....and I just looked at it and it is getting much much closer with 95% reporting....is Ohio going to be the 2000 Florida in the election process.....
