Well, crap. I didn't get to post in the skill thread down below and now it's locked, so I guess I'll have to table my idea here...
I propose that we conduct an experiment. Allow only Fotze to vote on skill for 1 month. Let's see what happens...

I don't feel like reading through the whole thread again....so...is there a way to categorize each skill set? Something what would show the mods or whoever which posters have one red square...one blue square..2 blue squares...so on and so forth?

I think you can order the member list by the feedback.. the display is wrong, but I'm pretty sure the order is correct.

So you could say if there are more people with red squares...than blue ones? And how many are neutral?

190 have red
174 have blue
Easy...you could've done that.
As for neutral, there are 5756 members...minus the 364 who have skill makes 5392 neutral. That doesn't account for infrequent posters, former posters, non-posters, etc.

Can we add the post count to the little nametags again? I like the idea of skill points, but the red bars don't mean much to me for experience. I prefered the post count. Sometimes it's nice to see how many posts everyone has accumulated.

I think after a certain point...the red bars quit going up. Or it takes a lot of posts to gain the next one.

Here's the breakdown by titles based on post count. And once you get to "Farm Team" you get one red experience point, and one more for each level you hit.
Draft Pick 0
Farm Team Player 50
Backup Goalie 100
Crash and Bang Winger 250
Scoring Winger 500
Powerplay Quarterback 1000
First Line Center 2000
#1 Goaltender 4000
Franchise Player 5000

Yeah more "ranks" would mean greater division and more easily tell people appart. For example, lots of people are scoring wingers, pp qb, etc. We could do a suggestion thread.

It would be easier if we could fit some more categories into the lower classes (Injury replacement, Press box filler, Top Line player, etc) but just trying to go from above "Franchise Player"
All Star Player
National Team Player
Olympic Team Player
Hall of Fame Worthy
Record Setter

Those are some good suggestions Dion, but I think the current system is fine for those under 5000 posts- what I'd like to see is milestones for past 500 posts. Let me explain- using you as the example.
You joined in March of last year. So basically you've been around for one full season and you already have 3000 posts. So by this time next year, you will be past the 5000 post mark, and no more milestones.
As it stands now, there are 18 people with more than 10K posts, and at least 40 more who are over 5000 posts. Add 20 more who are between 4K and 5K, and you can see how by this time next year we will have almost 100 people who all have the same title.
Just trying to find a way to keep it fun for the people who contribute so much to this forum. I do appreciate your suggestion, though.
