How about Joey Harrington throwing 62 times??? Unreal.
That game was bizarre.
149 plays from scrimmage and 800 yds combined? Yikes.
97 throws between the QB's,
4 fumbles,
3 INT's
17 penalties and 10 punts.
2 really bad football teams.

Broncos are finally showing some consistancy offensively and lead the Brown (ie this is the BROWNS) 17-0 early in the third Q.
I had to talk myself out of picking the Chiefs and the Texans in Pick 'em. Why the hell do I listen to myself?

Just noticed this.
They lose to a divisional foe, on the road, by a field goal....and they are a "paper tiger"??
Yikes...tough crowd.

Since I posted this Jake Plummer has single handedly killed the Broncos momentum and offensive consistancy.

How about that Viking defense....
I'm in shock to see this team with a good defense and sputtering offense.

They're going to be dangerous.
I think Brad Johnson is the type of QB that can take a team like them deep in the playoffs.

Well did anyone give the Chiefs a chance in that game after the way Pittsburgh ran over the Chiefs last week? Every major media outlet pretty much figured the Chargers would cover the 5.5 spread and instead they have to rally to lose the game by 3 points. Arrowheads a tough place to play, but Superbowl champion calibre teams can walk into that stadium and beat the current Chiefs lead by their backup quarterback. San Diego will likely be a playoff team, but they're no Denver or New England yet.
Still the Chargers long term outlook is pretty good as Rivers showed something getting them back in the second half of that game.

Well San Diego has two major weaknesses IMO, and one minor one.
1. Secondary
2. Head Coach
3. Rivers inexperience (this is the minor one that could rear its head at the wrong time.)
The rest of their team is pretty damn solid though.
I kind of agree with Sylvanfan. I think they probably grab a wild card and lose their first road game of the playoffs.

I'm still not sold the Colts defense is good enough to actually win a SB this year but Mcfarland in his first game sure did help. He's been one of the best DT's in the game the last few years so it's defintley a big boost.
I'm praying Calgary and area will get the Colts/Broncos game next week, I can't wait to see that. Maybe the best defense in the league up against possibly the best offense.

I'm excited about it too.
Denver's defense is for real.
Jake has looked like crap a lot more than I thought he would this year. I really don't know what to think about him at this point. I hope that Shanahan gives the Colts a healthy dose of Tatum Bell. That SHOULD be the recipe they use, but you can't ever tell with that guy.

Yeah, the Dolphins have been bad this year. Maybe they'll hold a tournament with the Dolphins, Raiders, and Cards for the first overall pick.

The Dolphins and the Raiders can both use Brady Quinn actually...
The Cards could use help on the O-Line...and the D-Line really.

Yeah with the way the AFC is shaping up I don't know how the Chargers could miss. They'd need to have a major meltdown, and someone would have to step up and take their spot too. Jacksonville looks good some weeks, and not so hot the next. Baltimore still isn't that good offensively. Cincinatti looks good at times, but terrible at other times. San Diego like you say has their weaknesses, but they probably have the benefit of what I think is an easier schedule. The Jets are surprisingly doing quite well, but they won't win enough on the road to last in the end. I think New England is a pretty easy lock for the East, Indianpolis is the same in the South, Denver is the class of the West, and the North is still up for grabs, but Pittsburgh really hurt themselves by turning the ball over today. I'd have to think that San Diego and one of Baltimore or Cincinati will end up grabbing the Wild Card spots.
But the Chargers won't be able to go on the road and win in the playoffs. I don't even think they'd be able to win a home playoff game, and yeah, I think it is the Marty factor.

Granted it was only one game, but I was really impressed with Andrew Walter when the Raiders played in Denver last weekend. He seemed really poised and made good decisions.
Still, I guess if a guy like Quinn is available you have to take him unless you already have a blue chipper which Walter clearly isn't.

Wow.....now the AFC gets really interesting. With a Seahawk team possibly missing Hasselback coming in next week, maybe the Chiefs can make something happen here. Certainly gives someone a chance now.
Marty may be forced to play Dick Vermeil football here for the next few weeks while his defence gets back in order.

I thought Merriman was the new Junior Seau, only more talented.
Had me fooled.
It's a gigantic loss for that defense. It is akin to the Bears losing Brian Urlacher.
WOW.
It's a shame that the 4th game of his suspension is in Denver. You'd really like to play a team with their full compliment of players.

That won't happen we'll take an OT or CB.
Apparently Saban still thinks Daunte is the answer once he gets to 100%. This is according to his press conference.
I'd love to see a new qb and Brady Quinn looks to be a damn good on.e
