Kerins - Sharangovich - Pelletier was also a fun 4th line for a spell, outscoring the opposition 4-0. Lomberg - Kirkland - Coronato was also amazing for their brief stint, outscoring the opposition 3-0. I thought Rooney was somewhat of the culprit behind the lack of offense.

Anyway, I'll take the over on Lomberg scoring 5 goals this season if he's a regular in the rotation. I could also see the 4th line scoring at least 20–25 goals this season.
Yep, however that was in 2022- 2023.

Lomberg last season with the Panthers he had 5 goals.

That would be fun, but I think you're a year early. I wouldn't hate a Zary - Kerins - Pospisil/Klapka as a 3b line. I bet that sort of line would dominate opposing 4th lines.

I'm not advocating for it, but here were the top 3 lines for the Flames down the stretch:
Huberdeau - Kadri - Klapka/Pospisil
Farabee - Backlund - Coleman
Sharangovich - Frost - Coronato

So far I'm a bit disappointed with Zary, Pospisil, and Klapka in the preseason games. Hopefully they find their game rather quickly.

I wonder if Grush is one of those guys that looks bad in practice but plays great in games?

It could be that the way the Jets play - or the way they played last night - also contributed to how he looked. There might be other systems that he doesn't match up against as easily. Yet.

A lot of factors go into it, but it sure was nice to see what we saw in him last night. Many of us were probably questioning what Conroy and management had seen in him.

So did nearly this entire forum last year, for good reason. People have short memories and quickly jump to the next thing.

I guarantee there will be injuries in the top 9 this year, and Kerins looks like the best guy to fill in there.

Don't put him on waivers.

He could play on the 4th line.

Kerins, Pospisil and Klapka should just be on a continual rotation with two of three seeing action each game based on performance and the opponent.

They're all pretty versatile.
